Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

An absolute extraordinary stay which may remain unmatched. Kakurinbo Buddhist Temple is a customary style so if you want the true essences, this is your stay. The benefits of this location is worth every means of transportation to get here. (I recommend a cab to the front door, due to the incline, heavy luggage or after dark hours.) It offers miles of trees, wild life, stars and untainted air. The meals are thoughtfully prepared with organic and authentic ingredients. Every staff coordination is served with precision: baths, transportation, yoga and evening entertainment. The cleanliness is impeccable throughout each and every day, the simplicity of this living will have you returning home to declutter your life. Last but not least, the Kuonji Temple is magical, soul cleansing, breathtaking. Your stay here is only steps away from a life changing experience. We stayed one night with a group of 15 friends. The space was spotless, the rooms comfortable, the Onsen relaxing, and the garden perfect for a small campfire. I highly recommend it!

Thanks for your hospitality!I used it for my graduation trip with college sync, but I relaxed without worrying about other guests! There is also a BBQ on the nice kitchen terrace, and I am very satisfied! The space like Europe is also very cute and we would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing time visiting Shimoda. We are from Southwestern Virginia and this was our first time in Japan. Our host helped us feel welcome and was patient with all of our questions. The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Our host suggested a resturant that was within walking distance. It had amazing food and the people were so kind. The spot is also very close to a beautiful beach.

Meiqin’s B&B is very charming with a lovely communal area and onsen. It has a great view of the lake and is a short walk to town/the cable car/ pirate ship. Meiqin offered complementary shuttles to/from the bus stop as well as the restaurant for dinner, which was so helpful! Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to a medical issue, which Meiqin very generously offered to refund (which we did not expect at all given the late notice). We had a great stay, thanks Meiqin!

The stay is very comfortable and very happy. The host is very enthusiastic. Chinese food is really delicious!We also wanted to order two dishes, but the free meal was so good and the portions were very warm enough for a homestay. We went because we didn't say in advance that the boss came to pick up and tossed it for a long time, the boss sent us to the station.

Very clean and tidy room, very good view outside the window, the house is also very distinctive, the private hot spring is very comfortable, slept well, the two hosts are warm and hospitable, providing us with food recommendations and travel guides.

If you are concerned about the lack of reviews like I was before then theres no need to worry! This hotel room was the best airbnb I’ve been at before. However, would only recommend if you have a car. The room was brand new. Complimentary wine bottle, beers and snacks. Spacious, luxurious and modern. Warm foot bath on the balcony with a view (not breathtaking but a view nonetheless). Massive bath and toilet, with hotspring bath with adjustable water heat. And a sauna (although we didnt get to use)! Free parking with plenty of spaces. Self-check in easily. Only regret was not spending more time there. Although it is on the more expensive side being a hotel, definitely worth it to wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We had a great stay with Japanese ryokan experience. The onsens are great and it is placed in a comparatively remote area making it a peaceful place. You should note that luggage delivery service is apparently is not available for this place, so think of it ahead. They also bring you to some restaurants for dinner but make sure you make a reservation there yourself.

A great, very nice host family. Maki's breakfast was very tasty and the onsen a great relaxation in the evening. Maki's husband even drove us to the train station on the last day, very nice! A beautiful ryokan!
