Thank you for a wonderful stay! We began our Iceland adventure with this location and felt like we made a mistake by booking 2 other places in other locations in Iceland. Thanks to the directions, the place was easy to find, set in a serene location. The flexibility to check in a little early was very much appreciated. The place was spotless and the description was accurate. The hot tub was a hit with the family. Will not hesitate to come back here again, perhaps for the entire trip the next time around.

We have enjoyed this house! Well located to explore the golden circle and very relaxing with the river down the yard.

Loved this home away from home! It had everything we needed. The hot tub was so nice after a long day of hiking and the laundry machines were a blessing. Favorite spot we visited was the Gjain - a hidden oasis that required a bit of F road adventures. If we ever visit again, we will try to reserve this place. It was wonderful!

This is a great location, on the circle and also close to a lot of different options of towns to explore. The sauna and hot tub (no jets) were a great addition and in good condition. The shower was outside in the sauna room, which I may have missed, but worked out well. The couch bed in the living room was the most comfortable one I’ve ever had the kids use. They slept well! It was well stocked, lots of windows, and a perfect place to spend the nights. There were lots of outlets for charging. I didn’t even really need to have brought an adapter. Close the door at night, we were told to, and learned that the midges are no joke!

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place with a great view thats quiet and peaceful. We stayed here for 4 days on a girls trip and it was everything we wanted-- being able to unplug and disconnect was fantastic. The hosts were super responsive and provided lots of easy to follow instructions for check-in/out and during out stay answered any questions we might have.

A perfect spot to stay within a short driving distance of all attractions on the Golden Circle.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

A wonderful week staying in the cottage and toured through the Golden Circle. 3x the northern lights seen due to little light pollution nearby! I'm glad there was underfloor heating to keep the cottage at temperature.

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Private. We saw an awesome display of Northern Lights while soaking in the beautiful hot tub. It was magical.

A very nice little place in the middle of nowhere. There were many small and large horses around the area. You can easily reach Selfoss in 20 mins. I would go here again.

It was a great spot to stay with my family after visiting nearby geothermal hot springs. I wish we could have stayed longer and gotten to visit with the horses, but we had to head out easy to head back to Reykjavik. It was still great to see them out in the field while enjoying my morning cup of coffee. What a pleasant surprise to see a coffee maker and coffee grounds for us in the morning!

The place was clean, cozy and easy to get anywhere in Reykjavík. We enjoyed the peaceful nature of the property. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

The owner was very friendly and made sure we had a baby crib on location. We were only there overnight, so we didn't have much time to explore. The beach was nearby, but not in view. Seems newly renovated. Was a nice place for our overnight stay.

The description corresponds with the advertisement. Kristin sent very detailed instructions how to get to her house! Very much appreciated. The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful environment.

The cabin on the beach was just what we needed for our anniversary celebration. The location was perfect as basecamp two days of our visit to Iceland. Margret gave lots of good information about restaurants, local attractions and other services. We especially enjoyed our TWO visits to the Floi Nature Reserve. Thanks, Margret!

Friendly hostess, well equipped home, quiet place, fell like home. Highly recommended.

A cozy hut to find some peace and relaxation but also well located to explore the south of Iceland. The missing Wi-Fi did not bother us. Only the kitchen could be a little better equipped if you want to cook yourself. We had a great time in Hans Hütte.

Brynja Kristín’s house is a real home - it does not try to be a blank slate like a hotel, or a rental unit that only serves Airbnb guests - nor should it. I really appreciated the opportunity to inhabit this highly personal space, which felt to me not only like a window into how Icelanders live, but also like the home of people who have traveled all over the world. Brynja Kristín couldn't have been a more gracious host.
