Holiday rentals with breakfast in Swain County

From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt at home. It was very clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds and living areas were very comfortable and both bathrooms felt like we were in a luxury hotel. The home is conveniently located near a golf course and the casino which was why we came to Cherokee. We have stayed at several Airbnb's and this one was definitely our favorite. Thank you, Odette for being such a gracious host and for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back!

Loved the place and it was fairly easy to find. I had no issues the entire time. It was exactly where I needed to be and it was nice that the checkin was flexible because we didn't hit as much traffic as we thought we would on the way up there and got in a few hours early.

Amy was a wonderful host. Her place was clean and breakfast was fabulous. She really does go out of her way to make you feel at home. We hope to stay there again next year.

This was an ideal spot for a casual family get-together with easy access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Townsend was quiet and welcoming and had all the basic amenities for a week long vacation. The only crowd we ran into was on Memorial Day, and that was to be expected. Our house was a great retreat! We had plenty of space for indoor and outdoor activities, and enough room that we weren't tripping over one another. Everything was clean and well cared for, worked properly, and was easy to find. And every random thing you might decide you need during a trip was available: ziplock bags-check! bottle opener-check! local snacks-check! bandaid-check! information about local folklore & murder mysteries-check! We'll be visiting Townsend again and will absolutely stay here again if we get the chance. We could not have asked for a nicer spot to spend time with our family and recover from our daily hiking adventures!

I had an amazing stay at Amy's place "ZEN" on the picturesque farm! The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful scenery all around. The farm itself is wonderful, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The RV trailer that has been transformed into a cozy home is fantastic. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the thoughtful touches made it feel even more special. The space is well-designed, making the most out of every corner. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfasts. They were delightful and provided a great start to the day. Amy's hospitality truly made a difference, making me feel welcome and cared for throughout my visit. I highly recommend Amy's place "ZEN" for anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway. It’s perfect for those who want to unwind and enjoy nature while still having all the comforts of home.

Great place to stay with a senior citizen. I brought my mom here who doesn’t like a lot of stairs. This place was great! Beautiful easy check in, we could park right in front of the place and be in our room quickly. The back sliding glass door has a wonderful gravel patio and chairs for breakfast and listening to the sounds of the river. Small fridge and microwave were convienent. Tv had internet apps so you could log in to your own Netflix account if you like. I liked the bike paths nearby, you had a great way to ride through town is you like. Townsend is a friendly gracious place that deserves to be respected, for it is in the heart of the beautiful pristine waters and forests. Enjoy!

Friendly host, luxury linens, and the most beautiful surroundings!! This place was awesome. My husband and I arrived late on Christmas night around 9pm. I mentioned to TJ how we weren’t able to find anywhere open to eat (because of Christmas) and TJ (the innkeeper) ended up making us 2 turkey sandwiches for dinner!! Talk about hospitality. We stayed in the Riverside Suite and the linens were AMAZING. I was not expecting that but the sheets were ultra soft as well as the towels and the mattress was so comfy. Literally checked the brand to buy the towels for my house. The hot tub is the perfect way to relax after hiking all day and our pup enjoyed every minute. I was grateful to get to chat with TJ and the story behind the inn and how he has put his heart in soul into that place. You can feel that spirit and love throughout the whole property. We will definitely be back!!

We absolutely loved the cozy fire pit, the peaceful riverfront view just steps from our back door, and the overall sense of safety and tranquility. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. And having a charming coffee shop nearby was the perfect touch. Everything about our stay was thoughtfully curated for rest and refreshment. We’ll definitely be returning to the Blue Heron—again and again!”

Patricia & her husband were incredibly hospitable, making me feel right at home. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What's more, the affordability of this accommodation was impressive, offering great value for the price. I highly recommend this delightful Airbnb property for a memorable stay that won't break the bank.

This was our fourth time staying at Blue Heron Inn and as always the place was wonderful! We absolutely love this “no frills” inn. It offers all the peace and quiet you could want, and the location is absolutely perfect if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (entrance is only a few miles away). The inn sits right above the Little River and there’s plenty of outdoor seating to sit and watch the river babble and forget about the world. Our room was clean and had all the amenities you need in a hotel-type room (towels, Keurig, clean linens). There is also some amazing breakfast provided at the Towns End Coffee Shop on-premises (perhaps my favorite part). This trip we had some really bad weather (high winds and tornado warnings). Our host messaged us to let us know it was coming and offered assistance to us in the event of an emergency. It was greatly appreciated! We already can’t wait for our fifth stay!

A beautiful historic B&B tucked away in the mountains and within 1 mile of Bryson city and very near rafting, trails, and biking areas. Excellent amenities and the breakfasts are prepared by professional chef! We stay at many B&Bs and this one rates a 10!

Unfortunately I had an incident that prevented me front staying but I wanted to give feedback about the wonderful response I got from the host. First I want to highlight that they were incredibly prompt, which is very important in these scenarios where you’re so close to check-in. Most importantly however they were beyond empathetic and went out of their way for me. I will surely stay here the next time I’m in the area!
