Absolutely stunning place and location! Nel and Lorne were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of all the little things to make us feel welcome and it truly felt like we were staying with friends…like a home away from home. We arrived to the smell of fresh bread baking, and found a loaf baking in the bread oven. Nel had even left us a jar of her homemade raspberry jam, which was to die for! We fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves which was absolutely magical and so peaceful. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Would 100% recommend and would love to come back sometime!

An absolutely gorgeous penthouse apartment - very modern, stunning river views, outdoor bath, bathrobes, lots of treats on arrival, very comfortable beds, safe and secure and so close to everything in Hobart, especially Salamanca and the restaurant strip. Jacqui was such a warm and thoughtful host! She was always responsive and welcoming, and we truly appreciated the handmade lavender bead warmer pillows she gifted us — such a heartfelt gesture that added a personal and comforting touch to our stay, especially in the chilly weather. The home is tucked just behind the main road, offering a nice sense of privacy while still being only a short drive to the city and Mt Wellington. Parking was easy and convenient right by the roadside. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for simple cooking, and the living room, kitchen, and bathroom were cosy and well-heated. The only small suggestion we have is that it would be lovely to have a heater or an electric blanket in the bedroom for added comfort during colder nights. One unexpected delight was the visit from three adorable pademelons in the backyard — such a treat to see them up close! All in all, it was an enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thank you, Jacqui!

After a long stretch without a break, Brierlie’s apartment overlooking the harbour and historic buildings was the perfect place to land. Everything we needed was within walking distance, great restaurants, the Mona ferry, Salamanca Markets, and more. The apartment was spot-on for two couples. Thanks, Brierlie, our Kiwi friends and we had a fantastic stay.

The view was amazing & on a personal note I would totally live in this location permanently if possible

Absolutely gorgeous home, and perfect for a long weekend (or longer) with friends or family. Fantastically equipped kitchen, comfortable and warm rooms, incredible views (including from the bathtub). We went for a rainy winter stay with four adults and three children and didn't mind not leaving the house one bit (apart from the occasional walk down to what felt like a private beach, with no-one else around). Can't wait to go back. Thank you!

Huge lounge and dining area for relaxing. Lovely views of Georges Bay through the front windows. Quirky backyard with pizza oven and BBQ area that would be great for teens and kids. HUGE bathroom. The kitchen has everything we needed. The traffic noise was one negative but was soon forgotten. The coastal walking track is just across the road and you can walk for miles either way. Would recommend to family and friends.

One of the best places I've stayed at - very special location. Only issue we had was a contankerous TV remote which froze and required the unit be reset continuously - otherwise a perfect property.

It was the first time in Tasmania for our family, and Robyn's mansion is definitely one of the best part of our trip. the mansion itself is located in a very peaceful area which is not very faraway from Hobart city, with an impressive scenic lakeview around the house. Robyn made sure every instructions are well-prepared for us therefore we had no problem checking-in, and she is very responsive when we needed help. In the morning after we arrived, we had a problem with the coffee machine and we reached out for help which Robyn replied and get the problem solved right away. after we went back from the town in the evening we found a new set of coffee machine and capsules for us, we were very impressive on how helpful and responsive she is toward us. to conclude our review, I would totally recommend this well-deserved home for vacation. The host is very friendly and helpful. We had a very good time here, truly a sanctuary and this place made us fall in love with Tasmania. Thank you!
