Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Taillebourg

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Had a great stay, very peaceful place full of nature

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

The accommodation is perfect for a stay as a couple. The beach is barely 2 minutes' walk and shops are also accessible in 5 minutes' walk. This is the perfect place to park the car and enjoy. Everything is as described with quality materials. I highly recommend it!

Quiet stay in the countryside with background music, river singing. Great for stays in a large tribe. The house is spacious, very well equipped, moreover with taste. Nothing is missing and Tony and his wife are very friendly, available and attentive. Canoes allow a safe walk to discover the environment for all ages.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Sylvie was a great host. The house was lovely. The outdoor area, swimming pool and beautiful garden was perfect for outdoor living. Close proximity to Cognac ensured that all services were only a short drive away.

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

We had chosen ‘Le Manoir’ for its setting and decoration ‘So British’ We weren't disappointed! On the contrary, we immediately felt good in our vacation home. Thanks in particular to the details (old beds but excellent bedding) very well equipped kitchen and what about the grandiose bathroom!!!! We only have one small downside: the dishes for 6 people are a little fair. Scottie's hospitality and responsiveness as well as Kerstie live up to the place.

We rented the house for a group of 10 people and everything went perfectly smoothly. The place was exactly as described: very clean, well arranged and perfectly functional for a group stay. The host was extremely responsive, available throughout the stay, and very accommodating, including accepting a late checkout. We had a great time — I recommend

Really enjoyed Christelle’s place. Stunning apartment and the sauna was a nice touch. Christelle was a great host and even sorted as out when we left the lights on the car overnight and flattened the battery. Area is quiet and not much nearby but was the perfect place for us as we explored the area. I would highly recommend.

we had a very good stay with Framboise. the house is cosy and practical. it is just about 8 minutes by bike to Le Chateaux d'Oleron. bakery and supermarket are not far away. communication with Framboise was easy and quick.

We had a wonderful week in this accommodation. Everything was as advertised, very clean, well-equipped and conveniently located. The host was very responsive, welcoming and thoughtful throughout the stay. We felt right at home! Special mention for accepting our two dogs without any problems, it has become rare and we really appreciated it. Everything was in place for a successful vacation. Anne Marie is a generous and kind host. The gifts when we arrived were much appreciated. The house was very comfortable and the garden is beautiful. We had a great time in this beautiful, soothing, wooded , flowery and very quiet estate with a superb view of the Charente. The guesthouse is tastefully furnished and perfectly secluded, very spacious and cozy. Thanks to Elizabeth for hosting us and for being available. We highly recommend this place for a few quiet days and which is well located for cruising around and discovering the region.
