Tiny house holiday rentals in Tauranga

Tony and his wife were really friendly. Tony was so prompt to messages entire time. As we were so late to check in he was so kind and waited for us to arrive until midnight. Also, he gave us a warning regarding transport at night time in case we needed it. The day we were leaving was 2 nights earlier than we planned, Tony gave us a refund. His wife was planning to take us around to show animals to my son as it had been raining the whole time and that was the only sunny day but we had to leave. I recommend this place if you want to have some private time as it is so quiet and peaceful.

The bay is particularly stunning in the evenings with the sunset views over the mountains. We’ll definitely be back again!

STAY HERE! If you’re in Tauranga or visiting Mount Maunganui it’s about a 10-15 min drive to each so you’re right in the middle. The surroundings are BEAUTIFUL. You can see the sunrise every morning over the jungle and hear the roosters and cows in the morning. If you’re lucky you’ll get a visit from their adorable cat Ella. The kitchen, bathroom and bed linens were clean and plentiful. There’s a “dairy” or convenience store a 3 min walk away. They were fantastic hosts that stocked the fridge with essentials and always made sure we had what we needed. They were attentive and quick to respond. We stayed at their tiny home for a month and it was a perfect retreat!

Jan was the perfect host, very attentive, friendly and helpful! We loved our stay, the surrounding was beautiful & very peaceful, with no service at the retreat, my partner & I was able to disconnect & enjoy our time together more intimately. The bath & our breakfast hamper were our favourite, would definitely come back again!

Great little place right on the beach. The home is far enough back where you have plenty of privacy and it is just a short little walk to the beach. The home is cozy and is a nice little beach house. Perfect place to spend a holiday.

Paula’s home was a great getaway. Peaceful and relaxing. Beds were comfortable, linens were clean. Very beautiful views. It’s an older home, so we knew what to expect, however it’s definitely dated and cleanliness could be improved. It did feel cozy though, so a few quick improvements can definitely go a long way :) Thanks for hosting us! Overall we had a great stay. We would recommend it to others.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a peaceful, spotless, and fun space, perfect for bird watching and a relaxing getaway. The little cabin is impressively well-equipped, just like a hotel. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the hammock and swing on the deck and backyard, even though the weather kept us from using the hammock this time. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the cabin was during heavy rain. It made for a great night’s sleep on the super comfy bed and pillows. And the overhanging reading net? Absolutely our favorite spot, especially with the great selection of books. Overall, this was an amazing tiny house experience. We’d love to come back—hopefully for a longer stay next time!

We absolutely loved staying at the tiny home! An off grid retreat, peaceful with heaps of space for activities and lawn games which we and our pup loved!!! Right on the river, perfect for a swim and only 10 minute drive from Papamoa. Love everything about this place we would definitely return!!!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Kates, she was very flexible about checking in which was such a help. Everything was tidy and perfect for our stay. Would 100% stay again. Also shout out for one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in!!!!!!!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage! Quite spacious for us as we had our 8 month old daughter with us. Porta cot fitted nicely into the room. The spa was a nice touch to come home and end the night with after spending the day with friends and family. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a small, quiet and private cottage. We hope to be back soon 😊

Very well equipped tiny house. We loved every bit, especially the wonderful avocados. :)

We only stayed one night but had such a great time! The tiny home was exactly as described -cozy, clean, and tucked away in a peaceful spot. The outdoor bath was a real treat, and our daughter loved every bit of it. The host was very responsive and so lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!
