2 insulated warm cabins available, these are private with each having its own bathroom and area for hot drinks or basic cooking. Wifi does work for some phones but for some reason not all. Plenty of parking for boat trailers, pet friendly but please make sure they have had their hydatids shots, BBQ available on request. We are only 5 mins from lake Opua, 20 mins to Lake Tekapo, 30 mins up to the top of Mt Dobson ski field, 7 mins to Fairlie, Kimbell Pub 5 mins. This is a rural farming location.

Country Lodge Stay in Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve

Our self-contained private suite sleeps two with a private bathroom. Adjacent to the suite is a room with a king single & single trundler for a third guest. Inside the host's lodge, a queen bedroom with its own dedicated bathroom is offered. The suite includes a private entrance, covered parking, kitchenette, spacious living areas, and garden access. Guests can enjoy the seasonal heated pool, all year hot tub, and stunning views of the Mackenzie landscape. Designed for privacy and comfort.

We provide a warm and sunny studio unit which includes a delicious continental breakfast and is private from your hosts home nearby. Amazing star gazing and just 2kms from Lake Opuha for those keen on fishing, boating, kayaking, biking and walking. This is a spectacular and peaceful rural setting with amazing views of the mountains.

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, chickens and 1 dog.

Green Door Studio

Enjoy the fresh and colourful vibe of this fully decorated studio. It has a queen and single bedroom ( with two single beds ) and a bright kitchenette, dining, living space with couch and freeview tv. It is fully self contained and has its own entrance but is attached to the main house where the hosts live. The kitchenette has a microwave and small appliances for basic cooking/reheating but is not suitable for every night cooking as there is no ventilation for strong odours.

Xantippe Downs - Separate unit in Peaceful Setting

Separate studio is ideal for couples, solo travelers or business person. Located not far from the town centre but has a rural feel, giving you peace and quiet. Queen bed, fridge, toaster, tea/coffee facilities, continental breakfast and Wifi (now with Satellite giving good connection) A nice comfortable and cosy place to stay. Geraldine is a vibrant town offering boutique shopping, cafes and numerous outdoor activities. Access is via a Lock Box, giving you total control.

Just 10 mins to Timaru Airport and Levels Raceway, 15 mins to Timaru and Fairlie, and under an hour to Lake Tekapo, Mt Dobson and Roundhill ski fields. I personally clean thoroughly and sanitise all hard surfaces, but expect you to clean, dry & put stuff away that you use where you found them. Bus is Myway, which you book & it picks to up close by or 25-30 minutes walk to town centre, 5 min drive. Supermarket 10 mins walk.
