Super cozy house with a lot of charm and located in a rural location. Nice and bright rooms and good beds. Large and private outdoor area suitable for all ages. In the house also lives a lovely and cuddly cat. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with! The train passes by several times a day, but is not a nuisance. A great place I recommend you who travel by car and want to stay in a quiet and nice area :-)

This is a gem of a place. The house is beautifully decorated, lots of great details and a very own vibe. We were a lot out on excursions, to Louisiana, Copenhagen etc, and were always looking forward to coming home to the house again. The kitchen is very well equipped, with the most beautiful pottery in every cabinet (which Joy himself has made!) The garden is amazing, colorful and lush. Every morning we strolled to the beautiful bathing jetty right by the house for a morning bath - and looked up to the baker for fresh bread and coffee. We will surely come back again!

We would have liked to be able to give 6 stars for the personality, creative decoration and soul that this charming house exudes. We had a great time there and enjoyed the contact with Sally and Elsebeth who were very present and friendly in our exchanges.

Spacious house in a nice and quite setting. Feels like home.

I was attending an event at the International Peoples College for the weekend and needed a convenient and private place to sleep at - Mikala's place was perfect! I could easily walk there in 7min and had my own space to peacefully sleep and unwind in the evenings. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was very clean and had some food and drink amenities provided, the garden was a pleasure to look at and Mikala was super nice and communicative from the beginning. Check-in was very easy and Check-out was very flexible. I simply had a wonderful time and would always stay there again :)

Peter has been extremely reactive, understanding and patient, even when facing unexpected and complex situations. He is a great host who finds quick solutions, is super gentle and caring, and communication has been very smooth The house itself is amazing - only 3 minutes walk from a quiet beach with very little crowd (at some point we were all alone on the beach, enjoying ourselves), very well decorated, offering toys for kids and amazing outside spaces (a deer even stopped by in front of the door) Very well located - 5min drive from the city, that has supermarkets, restaurants and shops if needed

This house is amazing - this is an incredibly special AirBnB stay. You have a 200 degree water view from the master bedroom, with - during the summer - the sun setting on one horizon and rising on the other, and you can watch both from bed! Just incredible! The kitchen and bathrooms are generous (much bigger than typical Danish summerhouses). Gillileje is a 10-15 minute walk from the house with shopping and great restaurants and the harbor and grocery stores and everything you need. The host - Betina - was outstanding: very communicative and responsive and provided ideas of things to do locally. Everything was perfect!

Our second and again very nice stay in this lovely house. Bright, friendly, lots of rooms, and a nice conservatory. Perfectly located with walking distance to the city center. And great hosts!

A peaceful home less than one hour of Copenhagen and near of the sea. It was a lovely place for our family. We’ve some nice trip around. Particularly the Louisiana park and the Karen Blixen’s museum.

This was the most enjoyable AirBnb experience we have had. Maj was a wonderful host and made us very welcome and even created a special birthday memory for our daughter. So grateful for our stay!

We had a wonderful weekend at the villa – just a great place to stay all around! The house was super cozy, nicely decorated and well equipped. We also really liked the location just outside of Copenhagen – a quiet, beautiful area with very pleasant neighborhood. The contact with the host was exceptionally good: quick responses, super friendly communication and a completely straightforward check-in and check-out. We found it particularly nice that even because of a small detail (a missing laundry tab), we were kindly asked again if we wanted compensation for this – a gesture that we really appreciated, even if we didn't accept it. Overall a clear recommendation – we would come back any time! :)

What a great place to stay! The photos do not do it justice! It's large, fully equipped and was spotlessly clean. It's very easy and quick to get into Copenhagen and has local shops and life too. Cannot recommend it enough!

Beautiful neighborhood, nice house, comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It’s easy to get to the train station (but be prepared to walk about 20-30 minutes), and the bus stop is very close as well (only 5-6 minutes walk). We stayed with 11 people total and had plenty of space for everyone.
