Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Tornado Alley

My absolute favorite roadside motel EVER and the best deal on Old Route 66. The place is old but crazy clean, the owners are super nice, and the beds are some of the most comfortable I have slept on. This was my second stay and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Lois is a gracious and kind hostess. She is very engaging and makes you feel like part of the family. I very much enjoyed my overnight in her beautiful surroundings.

This is the 4th year we have stayed at Lona’s place and we will continue staying here on our annual road trip to Indiana! We stay one night on way to Indiana and 1 night on way back home to Colorado!

Melissa went above and beyond as a host for our lovely stay at the Live Oak B&B. Highly-recommend and hope to visit in the near future! Hospitable, clean, comfortable, peaceful, and enchanting are words that come to mind in describing our stay here. There are restaurants and dinosaur related activities close by and plenty to do. Breakfast was delicious as well. 5-stars!!!

Donna took great care of my parents. They are in their later 70s and had a wonderful time at her BnB. They highly recommend her home.

The history of this stay added to the charm as the host provided details about her home. I loved having coffee on the screened in porch.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were so comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. We felt safe and comfortable here and we will be staying again. The staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

Really enjoyed everything about our stay. Colleen was a wonderful hostess. The home style breakfast was amazing and The Road Runner Suite was perfect. Colleen went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed.

Keith & Sherri’s place was perfect for a night away. It was so charming and a beautiful little break away from the rush. The neighborhood was pretty, quiet, and peaceful, and we had no concerns. The room and bathroom were private, comfortable, and clean, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful extra touches like the welcome basket, breakfast table, and homemade baked snacks. We had a wonderful time—thank you!!!

This is the third time my wife and I have stayed here, and it’s always a pleasure. Donna and the staff are always friendly and informative, the accommodations are lovely, the restaurant downstairs is delicious, and you’re walking distance to several great stops on the square, as well as Sweet Jayne’s coffee and Krootz Brewery Company. We’re always looking forward to the next visit! 😊

I had a wonderful one night stay in this beautiful guesthouse. Adrian was an incredible host, accommodating flexible check in and serving delicious home prepared food. She and her husband are also extremely friendly and welcoming. My room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the downstairs communal area is charming. Could not recommend more if in Abilene!

We lived our stay at David’s Cowboy cabin! Will for sure be booking here again for our next visit!

Needing a cross country driving stopping point, Lincoln just worked with our mid day departure resulting in an after dark arrival. Our normal local hosts were off in Italy, so this was a great find and we will book direct at Martha's B&B next time to give us full choice of the many rooms vs. just seeing this one room on this platform, which was great up on the 3rd floor with multiple rooms. All of the rooms are unique and spacious with an over the top "master" suite. Each room has its own set of furnishings that are constantly being restored. Each has new or renovated bathrooms. Everything down to the springs in the door knobs are brought back to smooth operation! Todd will never run out of projects on this home, and fortunately is not convinced any detail is finished.

My daughter and I were traveling and popped in at the last minute. Super comfortable, shower was incredible, everything needed. Sweet breakfast the next morning that was perfect!! Thank you for giving two weary travelers a GREAT stop. Since our stay was so short did not get to use any other amenities. House is very cute and if we had time the pool would have been awesome. Thank you for our stay.

I love old homes and this one did not disappoint! It had a ton of charm and was perfect for my overnight stay in Manhattan. Very close to restaurants and the downtown area. Would stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the host was very very respectful, polite, and very generous. This was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and I can honestly say it was well over worth it, and if I could I’d stay again anytime

We loved the decor inside and out. It was great for our 2 little dogs because it's fenced in very well. It's out in the country, which is very peaceful. Its still close enough to town to go shopping if needed. The hosts were very friendly. We definitely want to go back some day. 5 stars all around!! Loved it! - River and Amy

best place I've stayed in Canadian

This was a wonderful place to stay! We mainly came to see the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve which was only a short drive away. The home is large and comfortable with several guest rooms. Each has a private bathroom and the shared spaces can be used by anyone, though we were the only guests this past weekend and had the place to ourselves downstairs. Alice and her daughter cooked us breakfast both mornings and were very kind and offered us suggestions of places to check out nearby. There was a large fridge with ice and assorted beverages you could have for .50 each if desired. There was a large living space with a TV, games, and plenty of seating. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of linens. The biggest draw is the outdoors...it's outside of town with a small private lake on the property. There is outdoor seating and a large enclosed porch as well. They have a grill and picnic tables and also have boats for fishing. We loved coming back to see the sunset!
