Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Tornado Alley

Matthew was an awesome host. Anything that I needed he would immediately respond. He checked in to see if there was anything we needed and ensured how stay was positive. The place was immaculate and will be back. The home had everything you could possibly need in order to feel at home.

It was absolutely perfect! Things were easy to operate & the host was very fast at responding to any questions! Definitely worth the money!

We gathered with another family for a graduation celebration and found this peaceful home to be worth every penny. The only suggestion we had was concerning the multi- leveled living room-dining areas, which seemed to be a hazard that would be better navigated if marked. The pool was clean, bathrooms were luxurious, and living room area was spacious and inviting for entertaining guests. The exterior patio had plenty of seating, a large backyard for the kids to run, and was well- lit for night time chats with the family. The peaceful neighborhood invitated long walks with gorgeous aged trees. We were tremendously satisfied with our stay!

We've stayed at the Gate House once before and we loved it so much that we wanted to stay again while we were back again. Our second visit did not disappoint! We love this off-the-beaten-path stay that is still very close to everything you could need. The design and decor of the home is so fun. Surroundings are peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Tavira was great and made sure we were good from start to finish. We had driven over 6 hours with my disabled father and this home was perfect to relax for him and my daughters. It was a wonderful stay and I very much recommend this property. Tv had many options, my father very much appreciated the spanish channel options.

This little lake front getaway was amazing. It had all the amenities listed, was right on the lake, and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities, and home looked just like the pictures. Michelle was a wonderful host . We will definitely be putting this spot on repeat!!

Trying to find a place for 16 people and stay with in budget was hard, then I found this Gem 35 min from my house. We all had a great time and had beautiful landscape to capture family photos. My grandkids got to visit the barn and see the horses. We heard peacocks at night and some of the horses came to the fence. The pool was amazing, nice out door kitchen with plenty of shade, ceiling fans and outdoor fireplace where we roasted marshmallows. Honestly I can’t say enough good about this place to fully describe it and do it justice. Last weekend was a dream come true and in the perfect environment. Terri and her husband are very nice and easy to work with and helpful. I highly recommend this place. I even asked her if she rented just her pool, since i live close.

The place was absolutely gorgeous and even prettier in person. The hosts were very sweet and accommodating. The neighborhood was great and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here for a large group!

Host was quick to answer all of my questions, extremely helpful! Celebrated our daughter and new husband, were able to have both families come together at this beautiful location! We will be back! Everything was ready, easy to find what we needed for cooking, so much room! I can't say enough about how pleased we are!

Mike’s place was great! Our kids really enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of space for all 7 in our party. The home was as described. The kitchen is beautiful and well furnished with anything that is needed for fixing any meals of the day. We did have a few issues with the bedroom outlets and ceiling fan in downstairs bedroom not working properly but were able to manage with the upstairs bedrooms. The ceiling fan remote did not work well and the ceiling fan was very noisy. However our overall stay was good! Would definitely recommend.

This lake house was such a great find! The place is really beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Super clean and everything was so well put together—it just felt easy and comfortable from the moment we walked in. The host was incredible—seriously lightning-fast with replies and super accommodating the whole time. You can tell they really care about making sure guests have a great experience. Loved how clean and organized everything was, and the vibe of the place made it perfect for a chill getaway. Would definitely come back and totally recommend it!

Our family had a wonderful last-minute stay at this lodge, and it truly felt like we were borrowing a friend’s cabin for the weekend. The hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful, with so many helpful touches throughout the space that made our stay easy and enjoyable. The lodge is full of interesting details and personal history — it was both comfortable and fascinating to explore. The property itself is stunning — very private and peaceful, it even had bird feeders that brought in all sorts of birds we’d never seen before. It made the stay feel truly special. We’ve stayed directly in Medicine Park before, and this lodge is just a very short drive away — only minutes from all the charm, shops, and fun activities the town has to offer, while giving you more space and quiet to unwind. It was the perfect spot for celebrating our son’s birthday, and we’re so grateful we found it. Highly recommend!

We rented this house when visiting our in laws in Oglesby. This house is just up the road from them so the location was great for seeing family. There are plenty of beds available, no one had to sleep in beds together. The pool and hot tub were great ways to break up and end the hot days. Any questions we had were answered within minutes and when there was an issue with a breaker, someone was to the house in less than five minutes to fix it quickly. My whole family loved everything about the house and we will be back next year. Bonus for plenty of popcorn, water, and coffee pods on hand.

What a peaceful weekend!! Once inside and in the back yard, you’d never know there is anyone within miles. Very comfy and clean cabin. All the things we needed to cook, plenty of towels, very comfortable bed. Had no problem keeping it cool. The hot tub is very nice and under the stars which is lovely. We did encounter a bunch of spiders on the back porch (just a heads up, not a complaint. That’s nature and we were fine.) and we also had a little frog friend come say hello! I would love to come visit when it’s cold outside to spend a little more time in the tub! This was the perfect place for our anniversary getaway. Highly recommend!

It’s hard to say a few words. We absolutely put this place as our favorite of 4 total for our trip. It was perfect in all the ways. With the absolute kindest host to boot. We will try and book this again!

The Dilly Dally cabin exceeded expectations. It was quaint, comfortable, quirky and charming! I love the consistent simple antique theme throughout and the fun surprises. The cabin is very romantic, very peaceful in the woods, except for people nearby shooting fireworks at 10pm, thankfully they were done before 11pm and didn’t occur both nights we visited. I’m grateful the shower had hot water due to instant water heater, but the water pressure was not amazing. The hot tub is huge and relaxing. The best sit down restaurants for fine dining in Granbury are 1890 Grille and Christina’s American table (we visit both fairly often). I would also highly recommend “Baked” pastry/coffee shop which offers amazing pastries and full breakfast. It was our first time there and will Definitely be back! Cassie was a great host, attentive and responsive. Cabin is stocked with everything you can think of including board games, coffee and tea. Enjoy!

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily living, this is your spot! 1200 acres of family history! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Very secluded with abundant wildlife and a gurgling stream. Once you are here, there is no reason to leave! Bring your own food and forget about going out! This place is a gem! Exactly as described. We plan to return! I aways wondered about “super” host, but now I understand. Eleanor took great care of us.

Shereen was very responsive and helpful!! The place looked like the photos. It is a little walk to the lake and you can’t see the lake from the house but it was still beautiful countryside. Very spacious and lots of yard space for games and being outside. Didn’t use the lake front as water was really high and you couldn’t walk out to the dock because of this. Not her fault of course just be aware if you are renting during a rainy time. Lots of sleeping spaces and great kitchen!! Would definitely consider renting again.

Remote location, which is exactly what I wanted. So beautiful and cozy. As all women staying there, we felt safe.

We stayed for just one night with our pups and it was perfect for a quick getaway. Kathleen was very clear in her instructions and check in was easy and quick. The pups loved roaming along the path in front of the house. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Airbnb! Great communication with the host. Perfect location for our hiking and fishing adventures in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside each evening and listening to music and the sounds of nature. The house was very clean and has everything we needed to enjoy my birthday and our anniversary. Would not hesitate to book this beautiful Airbnb again.
