I spent a month in Gyan and Simon's boatshed and had the most wonderful time. I slept peacefully with the sound of the waves in the background. I woke up every morning to the birds singing and enjoyed the most incredible sunrises on the beach just four minutes from the house. Endless walks on the beach, through the national park and it's only a stone's throw to the centre of Byron Bay. Everything here has been chosen with love and taste. Delicious organic produce greeted me in the fridge on arrival. The boatshed has everything you need to feel at home. Gyan and Simon are the sweetest and most caring hosts. They gave me as much privacy as I wanted but were always there for me when I needed help. Thanks to their local tips and help with some of the organisation, I was able to explore so much and see the most beautiful places. It was incredible! Leaving this magical place and these beautiful humans was not easy.

What a lovely place to unwind , forget about the outside world and immerse yourself in your surroundings. My sister and I had a wonderful 3 nights at Country Mile Escape and I certainly mean to return. The accomodation was great and although we didn't use it Trish had supplied a generous amount of firewood for our use. The beds were thankfully very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property and had some fantastic photographic moments with some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There are plenty of places to explore within close proximity, although one day we decided to stay put and just enjoy the property and watch the various farm animals who came to say hello. Thanks to Trish for giving us the opportunity to come and enjoy her lovely property.

Lovely little rainforest cabin!! If you’re looking to be amongst the trees but not too far from home, this is your place. Host was sweet and helpful. Would definitely return :)

A lovely stay with my Mum while she was receiving treatment at Lismore base. Sincere, thank you Justine for being so accommodating. Some feedback re. front concrete walk in/step area - the moss is super slippery and with rain, more-so. The wifi continued to drop in/out but again, no doubt it was the heavy rains at time that may have affected. Standouts: the views! Some lovely running routes close by. The little extras that you provide like coffee pods etc. The friendly neighbours on the street and the fluffy legged handsome rooster at top of street :) Again, thank-you.

Utterly peaceful, magical Treehouse that will transport you to a place where there’s simply no need to check the clock! Wind down, switch off & listen to the songs of birds. Unique, warm & delightful. Gorgeous gardens, with plenty of good food for thought too! Thank you Susan, Lance, Nicholas & Lesharn!

Super friendly and accommodating, Gale even offered to drive me to the local shops. Place was a bit more out of the way than I expected but that was on me, no fault of Gales.

We could not have asked for a better getaway experience. Bronwyn’s Alpaca shed is in the most peaceful and serene countryside. The cottage is very simple and rustic but we had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The alpacas are gorgeous and we loved our twice daily check in from Merlin the friendly and curious poodle. At night the skies are incredibly clear with an expanse of sparkling stars and a nighttime lullaby of frogs croaking. I would 100% recommend this to anyone wanting a break from city life or wanting to reconnect with nature. We appreciated the thoughtful gift of Easter eggs, fresh coffee and limes for the obligatory G&T. Thankyou again Bronwyn, we hope to be back another time.

We had an incredible stay at Waterfall Drive, Wongawallan. The property is an absolute haven — tucked away in the scenic Gold Coast hinterland, yet still close enough to shops and coastal attractions. The home itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and designed to make the most of the surrounding natural beauty. Waking up each morning to the sounds of nature and expansive views of the rolling hills was a true highlight. The outdoor areas are stunning, perfect for relaxing with a coffee or wine, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it feel like your own private retreat. Inside, the layout is both functional and luxurious — ideal for families or couples looking for space, comfort, and privacy. The kitchen was well-equiped.

Enjoyed our stay at Michael and Lou’s. The tiny house was well fitted out, the proximity to all the highlights of the region was fantastic while still being relaxing. Had a great stay.

Narelle is such a beautiful host who was so very helpful. Very grateful to have found Narelle’s home as she made it feel very comfortable and private. She also had great food/bev recommendations for around the area!

Natasha’s property was perfect, exactly as described (if not better!) and she couldn’t have been friendlier or more accomodating. Early check in and late check out was offered, the property was spotless and well furnished, and the property was perfect for pets. Thank you Natasha!

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay — exactly what we needed! The cozy fireplace kept us warm and set the perfect mood for unwinding. The place felt private and secluded, giving us space to truly switch off and enjoy each other's company. The warm pool was a standout — soaking under the stars on a freezing cold night with a glass of good wine was pure magic. We also really appreciated the delicious breakfast basket in the morning — such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. A beautiful escape from the everyday hustle. Highly recommend!

With the wild wetlands over the road, the birdsong and the sound of the surf not far away, JoJo’s cottage was just what I needed for my brief R&R. The space was uncluttered and conducive to prioritising my time for my creativity, especially my visual art practice, and helping me break through my writers block. I slept soundly and enjoyed the ambience. The Roadhouse Restaurant / Cafe was a walkable distance and about 3 minutes by car - great food, great service and great coffee. It was lovely.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We took our little dog & spent so much time just relaxing on the deck and under the lime trees. Definitely recommend if you want a peaceful comfortable getaway.

beautiful stay, property was beautiful and with it being such a tiny home it had everything you needed, we felt comfortable the whole time and enjoyed sitting outside by the campfire and taking in the view the most. it was a close drive to everything but felt so far away, would recommend :)) (lovely hosts also) 🫶🏽

Spot on. Great location, very local and quiet. Felt worlds away from Byron and the masses. Jess was prompt with her communication and made everything clear and easy. We had a small mishap from our side and Jess was very helpful and understanding. Proper hospitality 🙏

Amazing little find in the hills. Peter was an awesome host. Fantastic spot to chill for that romantic getaway or just on your own. This cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Sit in the beautiful deep bath at the end of the day, overlooking the valley, gazing at the stars or watching a storm roll by. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again

Our stay at Misty Manor was just perfect! The location is stunning and the house is so unique and special. The Men of the Manor are very generous and thoughtful hosts - they offer so many little extras that make such a positive difference. The house was very clean, beds were so comfortable and I honestly can’t fault anything. Hot tub was such a treat. Highly recommend!! Thanks for such a nice experience.

We stayed here for my 40th and it was absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful and peaceful, tucked right next to a creek that made the whole experience feel extra special. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy throughout our stay, and it was such a treat to unwind in such a serene setting. The hosts were fantastic—super helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. You can tell they really care about making sure their guests have a great time. A great little place in the ‘middle of nowhere’ but is actually so close to everything. Tweed is only 25 mins away. Place has everything I needed n was great place to unwind. Will be back

Such a peaceful, beautiful stay. The place has everything you need to escape for a weekend or longer, a perfect hinterland getaway. Because of the location, come prepared with food/supplies to self cater. Within driving distance to some wonderful hikes. The bed was incredibly comfortable with added comfort from the fireplace. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend.

It’s not often that I get away into nature and just feel a great sense of peace, but throughout my stay I was able to unwind from the responsibilities of life and feel just that. The hosts were so lovely to communicate with and they did not disappoint with the tiny home they either. Just beautiful! Would highly recommend; so accomodating, amazing communication and little extra details that make you feel at home. Oh and stunning view!
