The local area offers nice hiking areas, such as Hest and Himakånå. It is possible to take a day trip to Preikestolen and Stavanger. The climbing park Høyt og Lavt is 15 min by car from the cabin. There are good fishing opportunities from land and by boat. Boats can be rented from May to September, and two kayaks in the summer. Animals are not allowed. Cozy cabin by the fjord. Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

Nedstrand. The cabin is located next to the path to Himakånå, and has great hiking opportunities. The property is fenced, which makes the place safe for children. The living room window has a great lake view. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 has 3 beds: 1 bunk bed and 1 cot with a length of 150 cm. Please be aware of grazing animals outside the property. Free parking is about 150m from the cabin, to get up you have to walk a steep climb. A suitcase is not recommended as there is a gravel road.

Selhammar Tun - Annex Nedstrand

Welcome to our retreat, a place to watch the world go past or a base to enjoy the neighbourhood. Located above a small charismatic beach among the woods and hills of Hinderåvåg. Selhammar is a location that is relatively isolated and accessible down a farm track that wanders about 1 km from the public road system. Explore a choice of forest, beaches and mountains just outside your doorstep. The homestead is slowly being restored from abandonment and basic organic principles are practised.

You have a great view of both the lake and Himakånå. You will find many good hiking opportunities both to the mountains and forests, Himakånå is one of the most attractive hiking destinations. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt", shop, joint transport, fishing and swimming opportunities are also nearby.

Det er i nærheten av offentlig transport og butikk

The cottage is located in quiet surroundings and you're going to love our place because it's located right by the fjord. You can easily go fishing and hiking or just relax and enjoying the view. Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.

The cabin is located in a sunny location, approx. 45 minutes drive from Haugesund. It is walking distance down to the lake with its own jetty and boathouse. Boat with engine can be rented for an additional fee. Many opportunities for trips nearby.
