The owner was very responsive which made booking and checking in easy. The place has a great view of the lake and the surrounding area is quiet. The apartment looks like it does in the photos, which I really appreciated. It is homely and really beautiful, with all the amenities I needed for my weekend gateway. Highly recommend if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle and rest.

If you're seeking a time out from the urban chaos without really leaving the city, this is the spot...very peaceful neighbourhood and great access to Lake Victoria a walkable distance away! Extremely clean spot!!! Loved it all the way

Great house with a wonderful terrace above the lake. No mosquitoes in the house as the host put good mosquito nets and we closed all windows well before sunset. Dinner and beer on the terrace were wonderful. We had stars above and the quiet lake below. Across the lake is a simple village specialised in local beer, grilled pork and simple shopping. It is 500 meters by canoe or motorboat.

Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

From our late arrival to organizing a driver to take us to the airport on the last day, we had a great stay. It was far from the main roads, but perfect for getting away. every question and need was attended to speedily and with warmth. The host was even able to call a boda driver to do some shopping for us.

This house looks beautiful on the pictures, but it really is like that. It's wonderful to be so close to the lake. The vieuw is awsome. Also the welcome is warm, and the service is kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in this place in every way!
