Our stay at Barefoot was the best; it was the first time in my life that I had found a cosy place to stay that had everything you could possibly need for a vacation home. I'm impressed with Sarah's performance and her team; nothing matters more to me than a prompt answer from the host. We were really secure. I’m a happy customer that would definitely book the place again.

What a wonderful spot! Coming from the icy Free State, the beautiful view and perfect weather was just what we needed. This place ticks all the boxes and Tamryn was the perfect host, making us feel right at home. A new favourite!

Douglas our host is fabulous, always a message away alongside Thulani our caretaker who lives on site while maintaining privacy for us guests. The facilities are more than perfect for us three adults and we slept like babies. Book the house and you will be blown away. Thank you for having us, we will come back again.

The house has amazing ocean views and the sound of the waves was a beautiful background to our stay. A few steps from the beach, we had a wonderful time.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. Thank you Denise and team, truly amazing trip xx

5/5 Stars! We had an absolute blast staying at Stephen’s incredible property! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cleanliness and neatness of the space. But the real showstopper was the fabulous garden and pool area - it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! Checking in and out was a breeze, and Stephen was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Plus, the location was unbeatable - we were just a stone's throw away from all the action! Thanks again, Stephen, for being such an amazing host! We can't wait to come back and stay again soon!

Loved this place , the host is so heads on with communication , helpful instructions on how to check in and everything else ! Definitely loved it ! Would recommend to everyone and it looks everything like the pictures!

Velly was very friendly and accommodating. the housekeeper was literally a phone call away. the apartment is conveniently situated and has everything one needs for a quick getaway. the staircase is very steep though and will not be ideal for someone who has mobility challenges. we had a very comfortable stay and it was excellent value for money.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home, a hidden gem in Umdlothi! (The beach and restaurants walkable distance). A cherry 🍒 on top was the two housekeeping ladies who looked after the house for our entire stay!

One of my best stays

Jannes place is was perfect for myself and my 4 legged companion. We both felt right at home immediately and Janne was quite quick with responses with the very minor questions I had. Jannes place is definitely something to book if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, well kept space. Definitely keeping this listing on a short list for future Durban visits. If you’re looking for a private space for a weekend away with family while still being close to the beach and other amenities, this is 100% the place for you. Our hosts have literally thought of everything, with a beach umbrella, cooler box and beach bag and towels even being provided. There are some really cool restaurants to visit, as well as some pretty beaches in close proximity.

Aleks is an awesome host, she thinks of all the small things that we will need, that's what made our stay great, we felt very much at home. The only downside to this beautiful home is the driveway, it's very narrow and steep and a challenge to get up. Our stay was really really great, thank you Aleks...

Beautiful place to stay in and great service

What a clean and comfortable stay I had in this very special Cottage! It was immaculate, and was equipped with everything I would need for a comfortable stay. The decor was charming, and the ambiance…so very ‘good for the soul’. Marné was a perfect host with a real gift of conveying info in a timely, clear, and creative way.
