Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Union County

WHAT A PLACE! Honestly, the pictures do not begin to show how clean, modern, and welcoming this home is. The home is extremely welcoming and the A/C controls the home very effectively. Master on main with a comfortable king bed. Leather couches make watching movies in the living room very comfortable. The loft area upstairs has a great sitting area complete with a sleeper sofa. An additional bed and full bathroom made the loft area the perfect place for our three children to sleep. The front porch made coffee drinking in a rocking chair the perfect start to a morning. We did not use the fire pit or grills but there were plenty of amenities to choose from on the property. I tend to be picky when it comes to not staying in a nice hotel. This home exceeded my expectations and I hope to return in the future.

We loved staying in this Airbnb! It was extremely clean & had everything you will need from pots and pans to basic seasonings. Beds are super comfortable and everything was what we expected plus more! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the cozy right at home feeling! Hot tub was a huge plus.

We loved the location.We came up for my 50th class reunion at YHC and it was within walking distance. My sister and her husband came up as well and it was their 57th. The kitchen had everything you needed. They left a nice welcoming note. Easy to check in door was unlocked and ready. Loved the Master Bath. It had a very warm home feeling. Nancy and David are very nice and wonderful to work with. We would definitely book again.

We loved the DiNardo’s place. It fit our family perfectly and had the lake right there and a hot tub too. We loved hanging out on the deck by the fireplace. And used the kayaks. We rented a boat at Nottely Marina and picked up everyone at the house. We weren’t originally going to bring our dogs, but decided to and we’re glad we did. They went on hikes with us, could go to the winery, and went in the boat too! We didn’t eat out a lot. Mainly cooked in. The Walmart and Ingles were close for groceries. The grill was good and is hooked up to a natural gas line. There is also a green egg which we did not use. The wrap around deck was perfect for the dogs and would be great for little kids too. Hope to be back again!

This home was perfect for my parents, especially my dad who has mobility issues. We rented another cabin for the rest of our family in the same neighborhood. This was the perfect set up as we had meals with my mom and dad all together, but could retreat when they needed time to rest. The interior is beautifully decorated and we loved the firepit area near the creek. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host!

Ruth was a wonderful host and communicated well. Her lake house was beautiful even though it rained the whole weekend but we definitely enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend her house.

This place is a real gem! Don’t hesitate to stay here if you are in the area! The cabin is quaint but it never felt small and they really have thought of everything to make your stay so comfortable! We loved the decor and all the little extras did not go unnoticed by myself or my two kids! We would gladly stay here again if in the Hiawassee area!

Would definitely recommend this cabin. Super convenient to Helen, easy access, not too far up the slopes, and easy exit with the lower driveway. This is not a luxury cabin. It is compact and enough for a couple and a pet. But the value for the stay is spot on, Roy is super awesome, and I would stay again.

It was an easy walk to downtown, but still felt like you were away enough from the downtown. We enjoyed sitting at the river reading with our books and having a fire. She left us some sweet treats and firewood. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly reccommend

This cute little downstairs apartment was perfect for our anniversary trip! It’s a great space for two people to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We spent our mornings on the porch swing drinking coffee and at night would head into town to eat at the recommended restaurants. The place was cute, homey, and had amazing views of the mountains!

The resort is lovely! It’s a nice get away. Just keep in mind cell service is limited in this area! It’s beautiful. 😍

I’ve been coming to Helen for twenty years. In that time, I have stayed in many places - some good, some great, some I make a note of not staying at again. Usually I am there just a few days, but at the end of a long school year (I am a teacher), I settled on a whole week. I saw Russ’ place and was familiar with the area. I know it’s ideally-situated when it comes to Helen to Hardman (I am a runner), as well as to the town of Helen itself. Close enough, but also far enough away to not feel touristy. So I tried somewhere new. I am so glad I did. My husband works remotely; so we needed reliable WiFi. Prior to arriving, I reached out to confirm we’d be okay, and Russ was responsive. And quickly. When we arrived, instructions were easy to follow - and checking in was a breeze. The place had everything we needed - and if we wondered about anything else, Russ was there to help. From recommendations to just checking in to see how we were, I knew we found somewhere special. Grateful to Russ!

It's a great place. Clean on the inside. you can leave and walk anywhere you want it's close to everything. l would stay there again.

The place was honestly a bit smaller than I had expected, but it was my first time ever renting Airbnb so I didn’t even read descriptions before renting, so that’s on me. Everything felt pretty comfy and my favorite part was definitely the sound of the river at night, gives an extremely peaceful vibe to the stay. It’s also a great location to find waterfalls for those wanting to hike. Excellent location, would definitely rent again.

Five Stars! I had a wonderful stay at Kimberly’s place. The location was perfect—quiet, private, and in a peaceful area that made it easy to relax. The home itself was beautifully decorated and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean, cozy, and felt very welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area. Highly recommend!

Great place, good management, and reasonable prices. Barely interacted with the owners, which was ideal for my group. You are trusted to check in and out without supervision. The location is beautiful, and there are PLENTY of beds.

My family enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at Craig's Encore at the end of Lake Nantahala. We have stayed in many places, and this home was truly exceptional with every detail considered. We enjoyed watching Lake Nantahala change throughout the day, paddled in the kayaks, swam, soaked in the hot tub, relaxed and had fun outings renting a boat one day and tubing down the Nantahala River the next. It was truly memorable, and the only drawback was the long drive in over gravel, but that's what makes it so peaceful and remote. The lake was never busy and such a big change from so many crowded and touristed spots. We hope we made a good impression and will be welcomed back. This is truly a loved and cherished family home, and we appreciate Craig sharing it with us.

We had 14 women for a weekend getaway. The property is just as the photos indicate., stunning! The river is a distance away but you can hear the rush of the river clearly. The walk down to the river is not “ a walk in the park” it is a nicely cleared path down a mountainside with ropes at the steepest parts with a nice layer of gravel which helps. They provide walking sticks for 10, and I found the one I used to be very helpful ( 64 y.o.) The kitchen was well equipped and made it easy to prepare for 14 people. The living areas were very comfortable and the dining area was spectacular. The sofa beds were, well sofa beds. I probably wouldn’t plan for us to use those for adults again, but that is literally the only “con” I could find because everything else was just perfect!

The Villa was located in a beautiful, gated community with lots to do: hiking, swimming, tennis, golf, pickle ball, etc. The decor upstairs was fun travel memorabilia, and downstairs in the bedrooms, it was serene and relaxing. The Villa was very comfy, and we felt right at home!
