Number 44 gateway to connemara.

we loved our stay in no 44 in Oughterard. The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The pictures don't do it justice. We were left a lovely little welcome basket with goodies for the kids which they were delighted with. The house has everything you could need and we cooked aswell as ate out for the week we stayed. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is lovely. Towels were super soft. The location is perfect. If u walk 5 mins around the corner from the house u have a beautiful river walk in to the village. Highlights in the village for us were powers thatched bar/restaurant. Food was superb. 10/10. The bookshop cafe also lovely, staff were friendly and the food was great value and tasty. We had the most beautiful homemade soup and bread. Oughterard itself has plenty to see but it's also a great stepping stone to see connemara, spiddal, galway city. Kenneth our host was extremely responsive and helpful when we had a tiny problem. He went out of his way to accommodate.

Susan and Tony’s place was a lovely stop over on our Wild Atlantic Way journey. Quick responses and clear instructions made finding it easy and Tony was friendly and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. We would happily stay again.

Wir würden gerne 6 von 5 Sternen vergeben. Linda ist ein emphatischer Gastgeber und hilft bei allem was man braucht, inkl. Tipps für die Gegend. Man fühlt sich willkommen und wie zuhause. Die Unterkunft und Interior sind funktionell durchdacht (inkl. toller Dusche!) und wir fühlten uns so wohl, wie wir es uns nur wünschen konnten. Danke Linda, es war herrlich und schade war nur, dass es nur zwei Nächte waren, die wir bei dir verbringen konnten. Wir können sowohl Gastgeberin und Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

Gerne würde ich für diese Unterkunft und für diese Gastgeber mehr als 5***** vergeben. Das Haus war wunderschön mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und sehr sehr sauber! Die Terrasse mit dem Grill haben wir sich sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Die Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel. Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen und es ist eine wunderschöne Gegend, wo man viel unternehmen kann. Wir sind zum Beispiel mit der Fähre auf Aran Islands gefahren. Deidre und ihr Mann waren so hilfsbereit und kommunikativ und wir sind Ihnen sehr dankbar für die Hilfe an unserem kaputten Auto, den vergessenen Adaptern etc. Auch haben wir leider im Haus etwas unabsichtlich beschädigt und sie haben toll reagiert. Vielen Dank 🙏, dass wir eure Gäste sein durften!

We booked Michael's place for a week with our family and it was totally worth it. Everyone absolutely loved the house and we felt at home right from the beginning. The house was very clean, warm and cosy and we had everything we needed. Michael responded very quickly to all our messages. I definitely recommend this place and hope we will be back soon as we already miss it ☺️

Nous avons eu la chance d'inaugurer le logement. Il est magnifique, bien conçu, réalisé avec des matériaux de qualité. Tous les équipements sont présents pour passer un très bon séjour. La vue est magnifique. Jim et Anna ont été très accueillants. Je recommande vivement.
