The nearest lake is Erken, where there are several different swimming areas and scenic areas. At the cottage, there is a wood-fired sauna. There is good bus communication to, for example, Stockholm or Grisslehamn for day trips. Norrtälje city is also a nice excursion destination.

Carefully renovated in consultation with heritage authorities, the house preserves many original features while offering modern comfort. The property spans approx. 150 sqm with a large country kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, separate bathroom and toilet, and four fireplaces.
