Waterfront holiday rentals in Vágar

Lydia’s place was really great and I enjoyed my 10 days in Klaksvik staying here. I really appreciated the modern washer and dryer. The water pressure in the shower was great also. The view out the window is amazing and never gets boring to look at as the light changes throughout the day on the hills. The beds are comfortable but it would be nice if maybe one of the rooms was a double bed instead of joined twin singles as they can move apart in the night. But overall this is a great place to stay and Lydia was very accommodating when I needed early checkin! I would recommend this place to any one staying in Klaksvik

We had a wonderful time at Marion's. The apartment is beautiful and certainly one of the nicest Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. The view over Klaksvik is amazing, and the terrace is a great addition. The apartment is really well equipped and has everything you need. It was spotlessly clean and really spacious. I would recommend booking a stay at Marion to everyone. Thank you for having us! :)

Really cozy apartment in a nice and quite surrounding overlooking the fjord. We had everything we needed and the apartment gets warm quickly with the heating. You just have to be aware that it is quite a drive to get to the spots because the cute little town is at the far end of a road but everything isn’t far on the Faroe.

So our flight to Faroe Islands never landed as the pilot couldn't see the runway due to thick fog and reverted back to Iceland, where we flew from. I texted the host - Inga and she was such a wonderful host that she refunded all the money that she would have gotten if we had occupied her place. This was unexpected and I'm beyond grateful for her generosity. I hope to visit Faroe Islands sometime soon in the future.

Très grand appartement en enfilade, très propre et très bien aménagé. Grande cuisine très bien équipée (quelques denrées nous attendaient même, ça n'a l'air de rien mais pour moi ça compte, merci Bjørg 😊). Vue sympathique sur le fjord depuis les pièces à vivre et notre chambre. Plusieurs magasins alimentaires sont situés entre 1 et 5 minutes à pied. À proximité se trouvent une station service et des places de stationnement pour ceux voyageant en voiture, et des lignes de bus très pratiques pour ceux qui, comme nous, découvrent ces belles îles à pied et en bus...

Wir sind 2 Motorradfahrer und nutzen Sunneva Wohnung 3 Tage als unser "Basislager". Die Wohnung befindet sich im Keller und ist komplett ausgestattet. Wir freuten uns über sehr gute bequeme große Betten. Für Familien mit einem kleinen Kind wäre sogar ein Kinderbett da. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet, sodass man sich selbst verpflegen kann. WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei in der Küche und Wohnzimmer. In den Schlafzimmern bedingt. Unsere Motorräder konnten wir direkt vor dem Eingang parken. Wir fanden, es waren 3 sehr schöne Tage hier gewesen. Vielen Dank sagen Jörg & Gerald aus Sachsen/Deutschland

A lovely light modern flat overlooking the harbour with fantastic views. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had all that we needed and plenty of space for 2 people. Our only problem was getting the cooker to work as we’re not used to induction hobs. Marita came out immediately to help us and hopefully will have instructions for the next people to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, well equipped and we'll located apartment with a pleasant view. Spacious and comfortable, would definitely recommend, no issues with street parking, the laundry was an added bonus.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus in schöner Lage und wundervoller Umgebung. Altes Gebäude in gutem Zustand, alles funktionierte einwandfrei. Das Badezimmer sollte etwas renoviert werden, war aber für uns völlig in Ordnung. Nomi ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin. Sie kommuniziert schnell, informativ und sehr freundlich. Auf den Färöern ist fast alles teuer, was auch für die Unterkünfte gilt. Nomis Haus hat einen fairen Preis, mit dem man gut zufrieden sein kann. Sehr gerne würden wir es wieder mieten!

Everything was perfect - the location with its stunning view, the beautiful and spacious apartment and the communication. The apartement ist well-equipped and has everything you might need. It is beautifully decorated especially with Ingrids drawings. We can highly recommend thus apartement and would definitely come back again. Our holidays could not have started better.

Siamo felici di aver soggiornato in questa casa per un'esperienza unica che ci ha fatto fare un salto nel tempo e nello spazio. Arrivare alle Faroe è stato come essere trasportati in un’altra dimensione, soggiornare nella casa di Marianna aiuta a riscoprire il fascino di un tempo dimenticato. Un ambiente caldo e avvolgente dove anche lo scricchiolio delle assi del pavimento ti fa sentire bene. La casa è in una posizione splendida e tranquilla. Logisticamente in posizione strategica per raggiungere tutte le località delle Faroe. C’è tutto quello che serve per stare bene e per sentirsi parte del fantastico mondo di queste isole. Necessario infine un sano giusto spirito di adattamento: l’accesso al bagno da una botola non è del tutto agevole e l’altezza del soffitto del bagno è inferiore a 1.75m. Detto questo, io sono alto 1.80 ma ci tornerei sicuramente ...

We had a fantastic stay at this very cute house! The location is absolutely perfect—right on the water with breathtaking views of the mountains that we couldn’t get enough of. The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, going out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We truly felt at home and would love to come back. Lugar muy acogedor, con todas las comodidades para 4 personas. Todos los ambientes grandes. Muy bien la calefacción y el agua caliente. Cercano al bus, al ferry y al supermercado. El anfitrión muy atento. Tuvimos una excelente estancia.

This was such a perfect place to stay - I was disappointed we only had one night! Short but sweet... The house is very quirky and quaint, I absolutely loved it! The location is perfect and we arrived while there was a football match on within view of the living room, so the town was very lively but peaceful afterwards! Sunneva was very welcoming and we had everything we needed. Highly recommended to others.

Wow, what a special place! It was an honor to stay in Annika’s family home. Such a peaceful and serene setting, and the house is lovely, clean and open. The view over the fjord is absolutely stunning. It was lovely to walk on the property, especially with all the sheep and lamb. Annika is an amazing host. Highly recommend!

A very good stay in Kvivik. The house is very pleasant and comfortable. It is very well equipped. The views from the various windows are superb over the village, the ocean and the surrounding mountains, particularly the island of Vágar opposite. The village of Kvivik is very well located for visiting some of the most remarkable natural sites in the Faroes. Marjun was very responsive and friendly in her contacts with us. She is very keen to make people love this family home from her childhood. Thank you, Marjun. We will be back again.

If this are looking for a place to stay within walking distance to all the best of Torshavn and yet far enough outside the main areas where driving is stressful, look no further! The flat was spacious, clean, and felt like home for our family of 4. We loved the view (and the sheep) from the window and the cozy feel of the flat. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the beds in the primary room have position control so you can set the sleeping position of your choice. The area is very quiet yet close to restaurants and a grocery store. We especially appreciated access to the washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals and make morning coffee. My kids appreciated the roasted nuts and snacks, which were a nice touch but the host. The hosts were very responsive and quickly helped me gain entry after my husband accidentally took the key hiking!

We loved staying at Benita’s place. Benita left us snacks and drinks upon arrival and was super responsive to any questions. The ocean view out the window was terrific, and the place was great to come back to after long days of walking, hiking, driving around the islands, etc. And it’s just a quick 5 minute drive into Torshavn, or a 20 minute walk. Everything was just as advertised!

Rent och fräscht boende med alla bekvämligheter man behöver. Några minuters promenad till närmaste matbutik och till centrum. Vi tänker oss att turister på Färöarna inte tar sovmorgon, det kan också upplevas svårt att göra eftersom det är väldigt lyhört i bostaden. Man hör alla fotsteg men för oss gjorde inte detta något, vi skulle ju kliva upp för att utforska öarna varje dag. Vi rekommenderar det här boendet. Trevlig värd och bra läge!

Guðrun was super friendly and provided us with a lot of suggestions to do in the area. The place was small but nice and cozy. The furniture was brand new with everything we needed. The apartment had a nice view of the mountains around it and was in the center of where we wanted to hike and see.

Io e mia moglie abbiamo trascorso 6 giorni in questo splendido appartamento. Molto pulito e funzionale. Tanto spazio, Cucina ben attrezzata, tanti elettrodomestici, una grande Smart TV, ma soprattutto vista stupenda. La posizione è ottima per visitare le Isole Faroe, in poco tempo si può raggiungere la capitale è tutte le isole. Non ci sono molti ristoranti vicino, per quelli bisogna spostarsi nella capitale che comunque dista solo 30 minuti. A 10 minuti c’è un supermercato ben fornito. Raccomandiamo questo appartamento a tutti quelli che vogliono godersi la pace delle Isole Faroe con una posizione strategica ma anche super tranquilla.
