We have an apartment with a living room with a fireplace and a 43" Smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and two bedrooms with a bathroom. Air conditioning in both the living room and bedrooms and free WIFI. Ideal place to visit: Valencia de Alcántara, Tajo International Natural Park, Marvao and Castelo de Vide. House of Schist in the center of Portugal

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

The exilibris of the space is, in fact, our garden, with magnificent views, a pergola with an outdoor dining table to eat with a view! And, to relax in the heat, we also have a private pool, to cool off from the scorching days of Alentejo.

Quinta Alentejana

Farm with 4,000 m2, fully fenced. It has a house measuring about 100 m2 and a barbecue area measuring 25 m2, with a barbecue grill and a wood-burning oven. It has a storage room with a half bathroom and a large lawn. The garden also has a wooden shelter as a playhouse, a trampoline and a swing, which will delight the children. It has a 6 m/4 m surface pool and 1.2 m deep, with a salt-based water treatment system and a 5-action chlorine tablet.

Monte das Nogueiras

Our house is spacious and bright. We have created an open and comfortable space where you can enjoy the tranquility and nature that surrounds us. It is an old rehabilitated Alentejo mountain, it is isolated, in a landscape of meadow, and olive trees. The village, Barbacena, is about 3 km away. To get to the house there is a road of about 400m of land through which any vehicle can travel, although slowly.

Stone cottage in the Natural Park Serra S. Mamede

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
