The house is located about 5 km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur and is therefore halfway between The black sand beach in Vík and The national park Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón in the east. From the house there is a view of both Vatnajökull and Mýrdalsjökull.

Just a short 35 km drive from Eldgjá, 70 km drive from Landmannalaugar and 30 km drive from Fjaðrárgljúfur. Nearest grocery stores are in Kirkjubæjarklaustur (30km) and in Vík (45km). Vík is a beautiful town with old houses and a church that stands high above the town, there you may also find a good variety of restaurants.

A warm and brand new house that is located between Vik and Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The cottage is by the farm Snæbýli 1 which is the last farm before heading on the mountain road (F210). It is 56m2 in size and is divided into two bedrooms, bathroom and then an open space where you have a fully equipped kitchen and living room with big windows and breathtaking view. We are 15 km from the main road and the house is in a peaceful place with beautiful mountain surroundings.
