Fort de Vauville

The Fort of Vauville, listed as a Historic Monument, was built in the 18th century and designed by the architect of Louis XIV, Sébastien de Vauban. The only house on the beach, exposed to rain, winds and storms, the Fort de Vauville is rustic and not suitable for cozy people! This small fortress was built to protect the French coastline. Fort de Vauville was the last of the 40 then built along the Cotentin coast.
