This Commiezen house (customs office/earlier BORDER/TAX CONTROL Office) is one of the oldest houses at the mouth of the North Sea Canal. The house dates from 1875 and thus forms the basis of the later IJmuiden. With the largest sea lock in the world within walking distance and beach and fishing port within a radius of 1 km, this place is an ideal starting point for day trips. Haarlem (15 min.) and Amsterdam (30 min.) are also easily accessible. Public transportation - bus and train - are available as well as free parking.

When you stay in our attractively furnished summer house in the always pleasant Wijk aan Zee, you have the entire house at your disposal, and you can completely relax. Wijk aan Zee is a lively place where there is always something going on. Walking on the beach or in the North Holland dunes is possible within a few minutes from our residence. The house has a lovely box spring bed, sitting area with TV, dining area, kitchen and separate bathroom. There is a private outdoor area with garden bench.

It is a quiet spot behind the dunes in the village of Wijk aan Zee, on walking distance (10 min.) from the widest beach of Holland. The house is completely immersed in the environment. Birds won’t even notice you are there and will continue their song while you are preparing breakfast. Visit our partners at the beach or order your food online as the ÖÖD Suites do not have a kitchen. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The apartment by the sea is quiet, gives energy and has a beautiful view. From the kitchen and living room with fireplace, you can see the sea and the coastline. And from the dune room where you can sleep, there is a view over the dunes where deer often walk. The bathroom is simple and neat. The loft can accommodate more people. Downstairs there is access to the swimming pool with sauna.

Totally renovated in 2019: Small recreational home in a cozy courtyard with 14 other cottages with open living room/kitchen, toilet with shower, bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200). From the bedroom, you can reach the garden/seating area. Satellite TV and Ziggo. Unfortunately, not suitable for children. No smoking!!
