Cottage holiday rentals in Vila Nova de Gaia

Spent 3 nights here and had a beautiful time. Hot tub was a nice touch for the cold winter days. Carlos was extremely sweet and hospitable. Gave us plenty of information about Sever de Vouga and showed us how to get around. Breakfast was served to us everyday at 9am which was a super nice touch. Great way to start the day. Definitely recommend. I'll be going back for sure!

Tiago did more than expected. From welcoming cake, unexpected wine tour and requests answered immediately. When we panicked about the fires, he calmed us. This Airbnb is a haven of tranquility. Fresh fruit from trees!!! Vale da Cambra unspeakable beauty and hospitality. Not a lot of English speaking, but at the end we got what we wanted.

Absolutely a perfect find. Peaceful. Well equipped kitchen, toiletries. Home made jam and honey. Aveiro a nice place to visit. Also the painted houses on the coast. Margarida is a superhost indeed.

we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

During my stay, I felt at home! André and Carmo were super nice to me. I've never felt so welcome, it felt like I was part of the family. The house is beautiful and very well restored, it has all the utensils and more than I'm used to. The pool is a delight, and the dogs are super friendly. I left the house with a smile on my face and at the same time sad to leave it. It has an incredible selection of wines and a curation of decoration and crafts worthy of a Portuguese house long lost to its customs. That's why I was so amazed to have found this space. I'd love to come back!

We stayed at Andre’s place in May 2025, we absolutely loved the house it was lovely being private and in a good peaceful location, an extra that wasn’t on the advert is the fact the biggest bedroom has an en-suite perfect for families! Swimming pool was great but could’ve done with being slightly deeper in one end but it’s perfect for what you need especially with kids. The only thing I would say was a negative was the fact the house has no washing machine ( this is stated in the advert ) but even a tank to wash clothes would make families feel happier to wash there clothes while on holiday. Make sure you have a car when you rent this property as it’s well hidden from the rest of the world! Perfect stay here well recommended and can’t wait to stay here again!

The only adversity was related to check-in. Mr. Lobo, host, was not present. Tirando this contrariety everything was perfect. The house is in a private place which guarantees a calm and quiet atmosphere. It was clean and is well equipped. It's perfect for a family vacation.

This is a beautiful house in a peaceful location. We rented it to do the Paiva Walkway and it worked very well. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped.

Manuel is a great host, he is very responsive and is very attentive to his guests including dogs. Manuel has good recommendations for the area. Manuel also speaks French. The accommodation is atypical, clean and air-conditioned. The property is private, there is an accessible swimming pool with lots of very pleasant and soothing outdoor spaces.

Ana could not of been kinder! Ana checked in and made sure everything was ok and offered if I needed anything! Ana told me about the area and what was around, Ana is a true credit and absolutely fantastic! The stay was very enjoyable and I hope to come back to the house and area! We had our first family trip to Portugal and chose to stay at Gallo’s House and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Toni, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and met us outside upon arrival. He showed us around the property and explained everything thoroughly, which was such a lovely start to our stay. The house had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, fresh towels, and all the essentials. The pool was beautiful and available to use whenever we liked, a perfect way to relax during our trip. The area is peaceful and quiet, ideal for unwinding, yet it’s conveniently close to Porto, which made exploring the city really easy. Toni also gave us lots of great recommendations on where to eat and what to do in the area. Toni and Cristina truly know how to take care of their guests. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and the place itself is simply amazing. I hope to return one day and stay there again. Highly recommended!

Silvia was the most gracious host I have ever met. The decor was charming, the apartment was spotless, the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, and we couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Thank you Silvia for a lovely holiday!

We had a great stay at Manuel’s peaceful and idyllic place. The apartment has everything you need, the area is very relaxing and great for trips in that region, e.g. to Braga, Guimaraes. Thanks a lot and we hope to make it there one day again :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. Exactly as described, no surprises. The views were breathtaking. It was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet place to relax & unwind after a day of exploring. The drive here was fun with all the winding roads. Fresh daily bun delivery, welcome port wine & biscuits were a wonderful surprise. We hope to return one day & highly recommend the place.

We chose Carmens house because we are a tired family who wanted peace and quiet without noise and other people. Carmens house in fairly isolated and set in huge grounds on what felt like mountain sides with beautiful views down the valley. There’s so much space/land to explore and you get this sense of rural perfection. The pool is what drew us there and did not disappoint - it’s huge, deep and private. We stayed 8 days and barely left the pool. We went to Paredes (15 min drive) each morning to do a food shop in Lidl (avoid awful local super markets) and stock up on healthy food. We bbq on an old school bbq as the sun slowly set and ate on the private patio in dappled sunshine. The dogs are lovely and my kids adored them. Inside is traditional (if a little old) but clean, spacious and comfy. Beds clean if a little small for two tall adults (140cm) and a little hard. Carmen is an amazing host and helped us loads - but she’s not intrusive. We are already planning to return! We loved it!
