Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Vinton County

The host was the most attentive we have ever had, we appreciate the thoughtful gestures that made us feel welcome. We had to leave early for a family emergency and they were very supportive. We will definitely come back!

If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway then this is the place! The cottage itself was so welcoming and cozy. But being surrounded by nature made it even better. It’s exactly what we needed! We made so many memories in such a short amount of time! The hot tub was amazing to relax in! The beds were super comfortable for us! Everything was just perfect! When we come back down I definitely want to come back here! 😊

We had family coming in from out of town and no room at our place, so we put them up in Velvet's beautiful manor. Check in was so easy, and everything was clean and beautiful! The location is incredibly convenient, just off the main road and just a few minutes from the Dollar General and also from Lake Alma. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property. Lovely farmhouse nestled into peaceful rolling fields. We loved just sitting by the campfire overlooking the pond. Very secluded. From the back yard you can't see any neighbors. very peaceful. easy ride to beautiful Hocking Hill State Park. The hosts were very responsive to any questions/concerns. we had a wonderful family vacation.

We stayed at the Hilltop Hideaway for a few days while we hiked some of Hocking Hills trails. The property was so quiet and peaceful. The home was clean and welcoming. Within the property there were tons of amenities available to entertain us. This was the perfect spot to relax between hikes.

We loved the quiet and the secluded street. Nice neighborhood that is truly local. Jackson was a great place to visit. We recommend the Spot on Main St. The house was great. Very well kept and very clean. The TV in the bedroom was not connected and did not connect automatically. We used our phone as a hotspot and that worked fine. Highly recommend this for 1-2 people. May be back to visit family nearby.

This was our third time there. Sharon and Charlie are great hosts! They answer quickly and are very helpful with local recommendations. They keep the firefly spotless as well! We will return again and again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and would stay again. The hot tub had a great view of the so-called "Strawberry Moon". All the appliances and amenities in the unit were top-notch. Everything was sparkly clean. The hot tub is tucked behind the unit and is relatively private. There's another unit to the west that appears to be a rental on the same property. No one was there during our stay, but even if they had been, the trees afford a sense of privacy. Also on the property, to the south, is a small wedding venue. This was fully in view of the hot tub, but again, wasn't occupied during our stay. The neighbors across the street were working on some project cars when we arrived. They were friendly, as were their four dogs and cats! The animals are all well-behaved, and know not enter your unit, but definitely expect a warm welcome in the morning from them.

Enjoyed our stay. Good location and would stay again.

Spacious enough for one or two people. I usually stay far away from anyone, but being behind their house really wasn't an issue. 20 minutes outside Athens. Check out the nearby rural grocery store, which still has a non-electronic gas pump!

A Hidden Gem on the Water. From the moment we arrived, watching the golden hues of sunset reflect off the water was an experience in itself. But the real adventure began with the incredible activities offered. Kayaking along the shoreline, gliding through the peaceful waters and discovering hidden coves was the perfect way to soak in the natural beauty of this lake. The Pontoon boat ride was equally unforgettable, with our knowledgeable host, Matt, sharing fascinating stories about the lake’s history and the surrounding area. Learning about the local landmarks and the rich history that shaped this area made the experience even more special. The property itself is cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. Whether sipping coffee on the deck or simply enjoying the fresh, crisp air, every moment here felt relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating.

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Reserve 5 (The North) for two nights in January and had a fabulous stay! 🌲❄️ The cabin was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and very spacious for the two of us (& could accommodate a small family easily). It had all the amenities you’d need for a cozy stay — spacious, fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee & espresso maker! ☕️), comfy couch, living room with large windows & beautiful views of the surrounding woods, walk-in double shower & soaking tub, and our personal favorites — the outdoor hot tub and sauna! Laura was extremely responsive and communication regarding check-in was the best I’ve had with an Airbnb host. We could have easily stayed several more days. Hocking Hills State Park is just a ~10 minute drive away (we did some gorgeous hiking to Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls all within a half day). We’re already planning our next trip back with our kids! 🥰

Nice, small, relaxing place with a pond. Close to Downtown McArthur. Easy checkin. Nice people. Will definitely stay again.

I would highly recommend this to anyone! This place was phenomenal and quiet and peaceful. Christine and Matt went beyond what anyone would expect. A lot of extra’s that you would not expect, like smores for the fire out back, snacks and drinks, a cheesecake, tooth paste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Extremely clean, extra blankets, pillows, robes, many towels, this place is extra clean, quiet. There is a hot tub, and a fire pit for the relaxing evenings. We will return without hesitation. Thank you Matt and Christine you two are the best, and very appreciated more than you know. Thank you again.

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

My stay at Fawn's place was absolutely wonderful! Fawn was incredibly responsive and welcoming from the moment I booked. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The place itself was spotless and well-maintained, making it a perfect home away from home. As a travel nurse, I unexpectedly had to leave early, and Fawn was extremely understanding and accommodating about the change in plans. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

We loved the cabin in the woods. It was exactly as described! The entire cabin was clean and the location was pretty close to everything. The cabin had great air conditioning. We had a 5 star experience and got exactly what we expected.

The cabin was beautiful and homey. Everything was very clean. Dana was very pleasant, responsive and easy to communicate with. Our cousin family get together was so relaxing and fun! What a great place we found and a little piece of heaven in the everyday hustle and bustle.

We really enjoyed our stay at Patrick’s place. Cabin is very private and close to many of the beautiful trails in hocking hills. Host communicated well and house was well equipped with kitchen necessities and games to keep everyone entertained. We would definitely stay again

It was a nice stay, secluded with plenty room to roam. We were close to all parks with plenty of things to do close by.

Well, location is beautiful very romantic. It was not hard to find the GPS knew exactly where we had to go which I was a little worried about since it seems off the path. Our dogs had a great time in the area as well lit because it’s super dark up there . the sauna was super relaxing. The hot tub was clean. Amelia Brian are really responsive because the lock pad was acting up and they fixed it right away. The house was kept up very well and it was very cozy.

Where do we start?! We are just so glad we selected Dogwood Ridge Farms for our family stay for a long weekend getaway this spring. From start to finish, the experience was beyond our expectations and Jason was the most responsive and courteous host. the cows and donkeys greeting us and our getting to feed them each day was a hoot. The property is gorgeous (and evolving!). We hope to book another trip with extended family and use some of the cabins that were built on the expansive property as well. It was the perfect place to relax between our daily excursions to local family-friendly hikes. We had so much to do on the property which is stocked with games, DVD, hot tub, firewood and more. I had my hesitations about how comfortable a barn would be but it was very comfortable! Great wi-fi, HVAC and very stocked with anything you might need. Photos don't do it justice. We wish we didn't have to leave! Magical.

Cabin was beautiful and we all had a room to ourselves!!! A full bath upstairs and downstairs! Stalls were very close to cabin we could see our horses from cabin! Access to water super close also! You can head right out of barn and hit the trails! We ate at the restaurant and had drinks. Watched a band that was evening! Rode to moonville tunnel which was a nice ride.
