On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-stocked South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Your stay includes the upstairs of our beautiful home: 2 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining area, and a balcony. (Your hosts live downstairs, so we share an entrance.) No kitchen or laundry access. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, and comfortable sleeping quarters, you will find wonderful amenities outside! Views of mountains, pasture, and woods. Relax in a hammock or tell your secrets to Drifter the horse. Often Mr Groundhog or the Deer family will visit, too. The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain is a quiet getaway.
