What an exquisite and inspiring view of Bethells Beach! The view from the deck was amazing. The cottage was very quiet and peaceful. John was an excellent host. We enjoyed walking the beach and hiking to Lake Waimanu past the huge dunes.

What a tranquil place! Surrounded by green trees and that’s what you can have when you open the whole floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. Lovely place to stay! And actually, we rent this place to film our student filming assignment, this room matches all my imagination and the images turns out really well.

Host was great to deal with and the home was very clean and well presented. Great facilities with handy access to the SW motorway. The place included a well positioned courtyard and was equally a quiet and relaxing place to hang and base to get easily around Auckland central and west.

Alex and Anke were great hosts. Friendly and accommodating. Our two year old son enjoyed staying at the farm house as there were lots of farm animals such as horses, donkeys, cows, sheep and a very friendly dog. Very peaceful stay overall and we had a much deserved break staying there. Very private but also about a 5 min drive to the local restaurants and supermarket. Handy location and beautiful scenery throughout.

Good place for a family to stay

We loved George’s home! It was just as pictured, very comfortable and homey! Beautiful views from inside the home to outside. Loved the hot tub as very relaxing and beautiful scenery and birds to watch. The location was great for us as we rented a car and drove around the coastline, to Orewa Beach, South Head, around the city of Auckland and over to Devon Port. We would highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay, would highly recommend. We needed somewhere for children and it was great. Close to shops, including a quick walk to the mall if you need anything. Charlotte was very quick to respond and even got a new iron as we had a wedding to go to. Really amazing space and value for $$

A true kiwiana Bach, has everything you need for a getaway. Spectacular views and surroundings. The fireplace made it nice and cozy.

Alice was a fantastic host. The property also comes with a friendly dog named Spotty who truly made the trip. This was an excellent space to stay while I waited for my next lease to start. I also felt very safe while staying there. Would recommend to anyone!

Wow, this location was absolutely PERFECT for our wedding bridal party 🎉😁 We stayed here the night before and of our wedding, and it was such a peaceful, quiet, beautiful huge country home 🏡 It was a magnificent getaway, with a Tiny Home attached that felt like a canopy camping spot!! it was spacious, beautiful, and such a relaxing space to stay. overwhelmed with gratitude :)

Absolutely amazing location amongst rolling farmland. Beautiful, private beach within walking distance, no light pollution equaling breathtaking stars and for the nerds out there - Weathertop from Lord of the Rings is nearby! The house has everything you’d need, including one super soft bed and one super firm bed, satisfying both kinds of picky sleepers. The hosts were very friendly and responsive while also allowing us privacy - if you’re looking for peace and solitude, this property is it! There is zero cell phone coverage in this area but the WiFi worked perfect. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Aaron’s place for a month after moving over to New Zealand from the UK and it was perfect. Homely, very spacious, really comfortable, had everything we needed and is really centrally located in Auckland meaning we could easily get around. The garden was gorgeous and enjoyed lots of sunshine, and it was fantastic to be able to use the bbq. The area was quiet considering it’s so central too. Aaron was the perfect host, so helpful, flexible and supportive as we started our new life out there. I would absolutely recommend his home!

This place was a quiet sanctuary in the cute town of Howick. The property was walkable to the beach and Howick village. The property was homey and comfortable. There was all the necessary stuff needed for cooking, and doing laundry. Renee and Simon were pleasant and friendly. This place worked for me as a solo traveler to head off to laces around Auckland, as well as have a quiet day. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

One of the retreat's crown jewels is its stunning swimming pool, which is perfectly framed by the surrounding landscape. The pool’s waterfall is beautiful, the water is crystal-clear, making it a great place to take a dip or lounge under the sun. For an extra touch of luxury, there is also a heated spa pool that offers complete tranquility. The spa pool is perfect for a relaxing soak while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. A true gem that blends luxury, culture, and relaxation effortlessly.

Raes home was stunning and so peaceful - perfect spot to relax and unwind between wedding festivities. It had everything we needed, even local produce to enjoy. Rae was really friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.

The place was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed — but what really made it special were the hosts. They were absolute sweethearts — so kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. You can really tell they care about their guests. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Highly, highly recommend!

Great house, pool is fantastic, outside space is as lovely as the inside spaces, and far enough from the city to be peaceful, but close enough to get to anywhere you need to go. Perfect for a family that wants to have space away from adult children when they need it. As lovely as it looks in the photos.
