Spencer Gulf great fishing & crabbing jetty walks.

JulieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The cottage was in a delightful setting and inside was cosy & charming. Loved the rustic garden. The owners have made sure everything is there that guests need & everything works as it should unlike some b & b ‘s we have stayed in. Breakfast supplies were excellent. Lovely character filled, private outdoor alfresco area. Great to have carport for car at the front door. The bathroom is spacious with great shower. There is a small step from bedroom to bathroom & small step over in to shower. Tastic heater in bathroom very effective. The host was very friendly, helpful & informative. We had a meal delivered from Fantastic Fresh - Vietnamese food in High street which was delicious with friendly service. We loved Port Germein for our 2 night stay. Thanks Tony & Marie - Claire for sharing your lovely little haven.

Flairville on Heysen

MichaelRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The house is an exceptional 1960s home with authentic features throughout, including a big radiogram of the era that had us up jiving to the music on the local radio station. The design & detail must have been top-of-the-range when it was built & have been well maintained. It took us back to our childhood. It is close to the Heysen Trail & it’s a half hour drive to Bundaleer Forest & its walks. We arrived to find both the fireplace & the fire pit ready to light. We came for the annual Jamestown races & the Jamestown Show, at which we managed to amuse our little grandson without the hectic pace of the Royal Adelaide Show. The setting of the home is most pleasant, with a cereal crop on one side, a fava-bean crop on another & shady trees & a sheep yard on the others. Everything was clean & orderly. Finding Flairville was easier than we anticipated. We drove from Adelaide up Port Wakefield Rd & through Two Wells & Balaklava to Blyth & Gulnare, then a short stretch of dirt road.
