Holiday rentals in West Slope

We had a wonderful stay in this home. It was a great size for our two week visit to see family. We could comfortable do our remote work using the provided work station in the living room. The windows in the home give great natural lighting. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The home was extremely clean and it was easy to find what we needed. There was plenty of storage space available for our own groceries and luggage. The back yard was perfect for our toddler's afternoon frolic in the sunshine (or the drizzle). The home was also very conveniently located with all the necessities (groceries, pharmacy, restaurants) near by as well as many of our activities (zoo, rose garden, Powell's, Saturday Market). The host left a detailed binder for logistics. We appreciated the recommendation for the local grocery store. We will definitely look to see if this home is available for a future trip!

When you stay in M and V’s amazing home, you are in the presence of two of the most caring, thoughtful, generous, gracious, kind, impressive, talented, warm, welcoming, good-humoured, and fun people you will meet. You may also find yourself using an abundance of positive adjectives to describe your time! Your stay takes place in a beautiful home with wonderful, natural light, a magical garden paradise, and a friendly neighborhood. Your hosts know very well how to host and are Portland experts. It is a joy to gaze out of the windows and to see magnificent plants, roses, trees, and a wide variety of birds who you can tell are also very happy to be part of the life of this lovely urban farm. The bed is so comfortable. There is super solid WiFi and nice desk space. The two dogs are adorable! The local park and library are within walking distance. Shops and anything else you might want are also conveniently close by. I feel enriched as a person and am forever beyond grateful.

We had a lovely stay at Todd’s place. It’s beautifully designed—clearly more than just a rental, with thoughtful architectural details and tasteful furniture throughout. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the space felt calm and comfortable, which was perfect for our family with young kids (especially during nap times). The nearby park was a huge bonus, and the peaceful neighborhood made for a relaxing stay, while still being just a short drive from all the great food and energy in downtown Portland. Todd was responsive and helpful without being intrusive. All in all, a great experience—we’d definitely stay again next time we’re in town.

No functional oven but very attentive host and not far from downtown

This was our third stay at Mary's place, and certainly not our last! She's such a wonderful host, and is great to chat with and always makes sure our needs are met. A few things we especially like: - there are PLENTY hangers in the closets - the beds are great for us (kind of medium, not super soft or hard) - we really enjoyed her new dog! (fyi she doesn't go up into the rooms at all, and it's very easy to avoid interacting with her if you aren't comfortable with dogs) - rooms are simple and uncluttered, with plenty of space for your things - easy to get water or other things in the kitchen downstairs - Mary is happy to let people play the piano downstairs, so I do that every time - Mary is the sort of host who could be kind and accommodating to any kind of person - parking is easy (it's on the street, but it's in a very peaceful spot and we've never had trouble finding a spot, and never felt unsafe) - It's so close to a lot of great places, including some that are walkable

The place is brand new, exactly as the photos, with high quality craftsmanship and decor. They built a great space, with everything feeling top of the line. The kitchen is beyond well stocked, with a the brand new Ninja blender, plenty of coffee, and even snacks. The unit is tucked away into the trees, with a gorgeous outdoor seating area and grill right outside the door. It is so quiet, I never heard anything but birds and squirrels. The bedroom is small, but the appliances are full sized, the w/d works great, and the living area is comfortable for hanging out, making the most of the square feet they have. The mini-split unit is in the living room, so when it was nearly 100 degrees on the first night, I was a little worried about being hot in the bedroom, but with the door open and fans running, it was comfortable. The neighborhood is nice for a stroll, and there are lots of places a 5 minute drive away, including an Albertson's. It's about 15 minutes to downtown by car.

Lovely multi-level space. Super spacious, great water pressure, comfly linens, ample seating/workspaces. Really inviting space close to great walking trails. Not a bit of noise in the space - great, private find!

From the moment we arrived, we could feel how much care and attention the hosts have put into creating a relaxing and comfortable space. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a restful stay. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to unwind, and we loved waking up to the natural light and enjoying our morning coffee in such a cozy setting. Communication with the host was excellent—friendly, clear, and responsive, which made the whole process stress-free. We truly appreciated all the small touches that made us feel right at home.
