We had such a lovely time! The place was incredibly clean and tidy, which made settling in so easy. We especially loved how peaceful and secluded it felt — the quiet surroundings were exactly what we needed to unwind. It was cosy and comfortable, just the way we enjoy our getaways. This spot is a perfect winter staycation, and we’d definitely book again!

We stayed in the Wheat Cabin. The view was fantastic, the cabin well equipped with everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a great addition and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin is private and the best break away from the hustle and bustle. Lida and Kobus were fantastic hosts and ensured that we had no shortcomings, including complimentary wine and homemade bread.We will be back soon!

The cabin was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. The cabin was also very warm and comfortable during the cold evenings. The hot tub was also a great addition. Wonderful staff who made the stay even better with their kindness and willingness to help.

Will and Franziska have a lovely accommodation and we’re always eager to help with recommendations or problems. After a long day exploring Cape Town there is nothing better than relaxing in the sauna and enjoy the stunning view from the patio.

Easy check in. Private, quiet and a beautiful view. Fast internet for those who need to work remotely or are traveling.

We had a wonderful stay! It was super homely and we loved the view. The hot tub and the fireplace inside made it even more cozy. We especially appreciated the easy and quick communication. The people who worked at the farm were also very helpful and kind. Very recommendable if you are looking for the perfect place to relax and get out of busy town. Thanks a lot :)

What a great weekend getaway for any season. We had a wonderful time on a rainy weekend with the fire place and hot tub. The hosts were responsive and the place is fully equipped.

It was such a lovely get away, the corrage was abit bigger than what I’d imagined. Fully stocked for the winter, the host communicated throughout and it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to get away.

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

Anton was a very responsive and accommodating host. The place is tucked away in nature which means lots of serene sounds, peace and quietness. The place is decked out with all the basic cooking stuff, guides and books to really disconnect from our city lives. Only challenge was getting our small rental car over the driveway to the cabin. Highly recommended

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay with complete privacy – just what we needed to unwind. The 4x4 drive to the cabin added a great sense of adventure, and the setting was beautifully tranquil. Although the WiFi wasn’t working during our stay, it gave us the perfect excuse to truly disconnect and enjoy the quiet. We would definitely recommend it as a serene getaway!

A truly beautiful place to stay. We went as a family of 5 (2 boys and baby). The surroundings are incredibly beautiful and plenty to do if you are looking for an adventure walk. The bon fire pit and the outside bath was the highlight of all our time! The sleeper couch was especially cosy by the fire place when it was rainy. We will definitely be back again!

What a special place. Secluded and just the right amount of comfort. Kaya Hi gives you a taste of the mountains, with stunning sunrises and blissfully peaceful days, where you are given privacy to rewind and reset.

Helen is the most attentive and wonderful host. She is willing to assist with any queries or to just give you a great recommendation, from hiking to eating. Her homemade meals are also a delight. We appreciated her hospitality and her relaxed nature. Helens homestead is such a fun exciting place to relax with wonderful views, a Waterfall and friendly dogs who welcomed ours with no issue. A definite must for anyone wishing to visit Hogsback.

An absolutely breathtaking place – stunning views, complete tranquility, and everything you need to truly unwind for a few days in nature. The house is well equipped with all essentials, plus some special extras like a lovely pool, a spacious braai area, and a skylight in the bedroom to fall asleep under the stars. Philipp is a fantastic host – warm, attentive, and always available if needed. And as a delightful surprise, two curious and adorable klipspringers occasionally wander by as local residents. A truly special stay, highly recommended!

Fantastic location, view, scenery from your beautiful forest cottage!

If heaven was a place on earth, this would be it! Brilliantly kitted out with everything you would need for a getaway in nature. Thoughtful touches, such as milk in the fridge for that cup of tea on arrival, firewood ready for the cosy indoor fireplace, and ice in the freezer for that evenings glass of wine. Nestled in nature with the Gouna forest around the corner waiting to be explored be it on foot or by bicycle, makes for a convenient location. The on-site little restaurant makes a killer cup of coffee and a scrumptious breakfast. Definitely one of my favourite places to go.

We had a peaceful and refreshing stay at this beautiful forest cabin. Surrounded by trees, birdsong (from afar and close), and a view of a mountain right in front of us, it was the perfect nature escape. We had a gas braai outside on the patio and lit the fire for a cosy winters night, playing board games. The forest trails were a bonus, and our host was super friendly and easy to contact. Highly recommend for anyone needing a quiet getaway!

My stay was a unique experience. The views from the house were incredible, even better than the pictures advertised. Very easy check in and no issues with getting in and out etc. The only issue we had was that there was a power outage on the second day, but that's to be expected in South Africa. Susan, was great to communicate the issue and progress updates. She even offered us a free extra night if we wanted to stay a little longer. Would love go back one day and I highly recommend this spot.

When you need to push pause on everyday life this is the perfect place to relax and be rejuvenated. The cabin is so well thought out and every detail is just right. Jaco and Dayle are so welcoming and are extremely kind. Dayle has a wellness centre and her massages were so therapeutic. Jaco is a chef and whipped up a feast of a dinner for us, taking note of our personal favourite food choices and then delivered the meal to our cabin. It doesn’t get any better than that! The breakfast basket of goodies was incredible. The best bread I have ever had, delivered warm straight out of the oven. My husband and I went for walks down country lanes and experienced the beauty of hogsback. We will visit again for sure. Thank you Dayle and Jaco.

We were absolute ly blown away with the cabin. Everything was brand new squeaky clean. High end finishes and all utensils and bedding of high quality. The views and privacy was exceptional. Gina was a super host and attended to our every need. This was part of our honeymoon, and we could not ask for anything more. Thank you Gina. Highly recommended.
