What was built as a church in 1949, is now an inviting 2 bedroom, 1 bath house! History of the church is sprinkled throughout the house as part of its decor mixed with new furnishings making it the perfect blend of old and new! The house sits on the corner of W Clarksville and Vale, just 3 blocks from the nearest shops and restaurants in the Historic town of Jefferson. 1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway tucked away in the edge of the woods, overlooking a wooded creek area. We have designed this space to feel cozy and homey with the earth tone decor and modern rustic style. Everyone visited this site during it's preparation, from visiting friends to the electricians, plumbers and others, fell in love with it. Many joked that this is where they wanted to stay if they got in the "dog house" with their wife; hence the nickname that stuck.
