Absolutely delightful cottage which catered for all our needs (3 generations!). warm, dry, clean. Very well equipped and we really appreciated the extra details and treats in the pantry and fridge!! Host was warm and welcoming & check in was a breeze. We wish we could have stayed longer but I'm sure we will be back again! Thankyou!

We had a great time in Whanganui with lots to do over the school hols. While we weren’t in the house very much, it was comfortable and very well appointed for our group from 11 to 82! The backyard and games room are excellent for families.

Excellent home for a large group, the view was amazing looking out at the whanganui river, very sunny. Had all the amenities and extras too, it was a well equiped home. Will definitely go and stay again. Peter was fantastic around the communications. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

Super cute cottage, great for a couple of nights visiting Whanganui. Loved the sunny deck and fully equipped kitchen. Beautifully renovated. Good location to visit sites on foot or by car

Had the most amazing stay at Whare Awa. The views are stunning and the little home is just what you need. All the best amenities, while still feeling like you’re off-grid. Everything was so well thought through from the great outdoor area, the lovely furnishings and the treats in the kitchen. Was so nice to settle in, take in the view and watch the wildlife. It was super quiet and cozy - the perfect little weekend getaway. 5 stars from us, would definitely reccommend.

Great family week in Whanganui. Our place was amazing, comfortable, great vibe, relaxing, loved the pool and deck with outdoor bath. Wished we could stay longer. Ken and Jess so helpful and responsive, very friendly. Would love to stay there again.

A great spot. Walking distance to the beautiful lake and gardens. The place was very tidy with beautiful decor, comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom. Private with a seperate entrance except just one bathroom. Also no running water in the kitchen which I assume is work in progress. Jude was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely could return.

Great location, easy walk into town, best view from the patio. Beds were very comfortable and house has extra amenities. Host was very responsive and helpful when we ran into a hiccup during our stay. Our only regret was not having more days to stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing container home. The space has been so well thought out with attention to detail throughout. Everything you can need and more for a relaxing get away. The deck is a fantastic place to hang out, with a breathtaking view. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus. We appreciated all the little touches, ample towels, kitchen supplies, laundry facilities. Clear instructions and great communication.

We booked Dwaynes place last minute (same day arrival) for a few of our employees who job had been delayed. Dwayne was amazing and have the place ready for our team- even turned the heater on for them so that when they arrived it was nice and toasty for them. The guys gave great feedback about the accommodation and said that they would 100% stay there again. Thanks so much Dwayne, our guys really enjoyed their stay!

This is a comfortable two bedroom home. The night we arrived it was cold out, but the efficient heatpump had the house warmed up quickly. The shower was good, with plenty of hot water. The beds were very comfortable, with electric blankets and extra covers if required. We only stayed overnight ( on work trip) so did not get to explore the neighbourhood much, but can tell you that there is a shop close by, and an indian restaurant a couple of minutes' drive away.

Really nice and friendly lady. We took our doggie and she had even left treats for our doggie (and for us humans)c and said we could share his toys and bean bag. The place was easy to find and instructions to get into the house. Very clean and very tidy. Had a great bbq at the house with our grandson and family. Handy to town, river walks, cafes and beautiful trees everywhere! Highly recommend and will return. Thanks Sally and Dice :)
