This place is simply stunning. The views alone are worth a stay, but the home is very comfortable and quiet. The host was very responsive to texts and very friendly. We will most definitely be back!

This was such a great place to stay. A stylish, well equipped & well loved home in a really special location. Highly recommended. The only downside for us was the full moon that spoiled the star gazing!

Very clean, welcoming home with cozy beds and fun atmosphere. Only 10 minutes to Joshua Tree, the location was perfect! My small family enjoyed every moment spent here. No complaints or suggestions. 5/5 stars!

This house is so beautiful with big windows in the back to take in the gorgeous view. The house was clean and well maintained. This house is also only about 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, which made it very convenient for us. I highly recommend this house!!

We had three wonderful nights here. The accommodation is secluded and perfect for relaxing. The spacious property with a barbecue and fire pit is ideal for winding down in the evenings after a long day. The national park is just a few minutes away, and the host has put together a guide with many local highlights. A special highlight are the hammocks, which offer a breathtaking view of the Milky Way. We’d love to come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed for a few days and absolutely loved the property and house. My daughter, two grandsons (2 @ 4 months), and mom were there. The pool was great for toddler and baby. We also enjoyed the hot tub at night 🌙. We would definitely recommend this home.

We had a beautiful stay in landers. Courtney's home is clean, peaceful & secluded. Great location for stargazing ✨️ During our stay we ran out of propane and within 10 mins we had them replaced. One of my all-time favorite Airbnbs!! The house was beautiful with a well-stocked kitchen, multiple clean bedrooms and bathrooms, and amazing outdoor space to enjoy the desert. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would love to stay again!

This house is very close to the entrance of Joshua Tree National park. The owner basically prepared almost everything you need to stay there. The outside garden is a great place for starry night viewing. We had a great time there.

Great place - has everything we needed and more. Coffee with some extra filters (#4 cone!) was nice. Hammocks were our favorite spot at the beginning and end of the day. Fire pit was a great spot to hang in the evening with really comfortable chairs. Can’t beat the location - Would love to come again!

We were looking for a break and wanted a remote quiet place to spend a couple of days and recharge. We found it here. The place was amazing. Nice and quiet, surrounded by beauty. We got to see a family of quail, with many babies, we think their nest was near the jacuzzi cause they came out everyday. Also rabbits and a roadrunner. All of them just outside the window. The neighborhood was remote and quiet and having a hot tub to come to after a day of visiting Joshua Tree Park was priceless. Would love to return.

Love love love this home. It was our second time here and it was just as perfect. The home is spacious and comfortable. We felt it was very private without being secluded away from people. Very close to the downtown area and the national park entrance. Would highly recommend to anyone else considering the area!

This is my second time staying at the Hi Desert House and it’s a total dream. Everything you need for a true getaway, nothing you don’t, thoughtful design touches everywhere you look. Jenna and Michael have created something beautiful here.

Beautiful place, even better in person! We loved all the thoughtful touches and amenities throughout: the shaded dining area, the pizza oven & grill, bocce ball court, multiple lounge areas, the cowboy pool, and even the record player inside. Everything felt intentionally curated to create a relaxing and fun experience. Having the yard fully fenced was a great bonus too as it gave our pup the freedom to roam safely, which we really appreciated. We did come across a rattlesnake and a (dead) scorpion near the house shortly after check-in. Giulia responded and let us know the property is sprayed monthly. After that initial encounter, we didn’t have any other issues, likely thanks to the movement and presence of us and our dog. It didn’t take away from our overall experience, but definitely something to keep in mind when visiting the desert, especially with pets. Giulia was always responsive and friendly. We would absolutely recommend this stay!

We loved our stay at Alison’s property. Easy access to shops, JTNP, and restaurants. Alison’s hot spring recommendation was great - we did a sunset soak that set the entire trip vibe. Alison is a fantastic host who is proactive, highly responsive, and knowledgeable of the area. Thank you for being such a wonderful host!!

We loved this wonderful retreat. We can't wait to go back. It's a perfect location to access JTNP, but also far enough away from other tourists. The star gazing was a highlight and we preferred it over the night we sky watched in the park. The bed is comfy and the decor was lovely. Twentynine Palms is cute and has all you need. We loved GRND SQRL and the White Vinyl record store. If you love used books, Raven's is great too. There's also a Grocery Outlet and Stater Bros. if you need to stock up on food. Before you go, research "Jackrabbit Homesteads" and Wonder Valley so you know what all the little cabins are. It's fascinating! Our only difficulty, as other have mentioned was the gate lock. If you arrive in the heat of the day or at night, it will be a challenge - especially if you are, ah hem, past a certain age. I think the sand blows into these kind of locks and makes it hard to turn and the numbers wear down. Maybe a button style would work better than the spin type.

The house was awesome, great swimming pool and beautiful desert views while still close to super market and restaurants.

This house was a dream come true for a quick desert getaway. It feels like a direct extension of the desert landscape around it and is decorated and appointed meticulously to help you feel immersed in the calming desert scene all around you. We didn't want to do much besides drift in the pool and soak up the scenery, and it was a perfect match for our laid-back goals. Close enough to town that we could run in to get some last-minute supplies, but far enough away that town felt non-existent if you were just looking around. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the desert.

I took my 2 kids and we had the most amazing vacation here. The place is beautiful and perfect for me and my kids needs. We felt secure and safe . The bus camper, pool and jacuzzi was especially an amazing touch that will definitely add to this being one of our best vacations ever. There was a few mishaps : fire ants in the house a couple times, my daughter getting bitten by a few, and power went out for like 10 minutes which ended jacuzzi time for the last night of our stay due to some unknown reasons. However every time we needed something Brenna and Brooks were quick to respond and help.

The house is impeccably decorated—stylish, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. One of the absolute highlights was the pool—absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whether we were lounging in the sun or enjoying a swim, it quickly became our favorite spot. Every room in the house was spotless and well-appointed, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into making this place special. We truly loved every moment of our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Highly recommended!
