Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Yên Bái

Recently constructed guesthouse in a heavenly location. Set right on the bank of a small lake, this spot is the quiet and peaceful getaway you need from the polluted, noisy Hanoi. The rooms are well built with a modern standard, including a big TV, proper AC, and large windows letting in lots of light. Everything was clean and good as new. The small rooms are on the ground floor and the views could have been nicer if the building was slightly nearer to the lake itself - climbing to the upper floors provides a proper vista. The host, Dzung, was very friendly and welcoming, and it was enjoyable to hang out with him and learn about his life. He offers kayaking (free) and jetski rental (paid), as well as a dinner and breakfast made by his family. All in all a wonderful place to stay with very few, if any, things to mind. Well worth the 3 hour trip from Hanoi, but slightly overpriced for Vietnamese standards.

This Airbnb is an absolute gem! Homestay is fully equipped, spotless, and well cared! The privacy is unbeatable. With a beautiful garden and no immediate neighbors, we could relax, laugh, and enjoy ourselves without worry. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true retreat. The location is perfect, away from noisy main roads, offering pure tranquility. And the kitchen—wow! Spacious, airy, and perfect for cooking, especially with fresh organic vegetables from the garden and generous neighbors who share their delicious homegrown produce. The garden even has grapefruit and papaya trees, so we enjoyed fresh fruit straight from nature! Finally, the host is beyond amazing—100 out of 10! Incredibly kind, always available, and quick to help with anything. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-equipped, and truly special place in Yen Bai, this is it. We’d absolutely stay again. Amazing little hide-out up in the mountains. Need to be a bit of a wandering spirit to venture out here but you’ll be rewarded with the stillness and atmosphere one needs to do a proper brain reset. Oh, and love dogs, cause you’ll get escorted by them frequently while out and about. Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay at May’s home. It was a wonderful authentic experience to stay with this warm and friendly family . From the engaging conversation to the delicious food , a shared love of dogs as pets and very comfortable private room . We felt welcomed as part of the family and nothing was too much trouble for them from washing , trekking, motorbike tours , herbal bath and all extremely good value for money. Thank you May and the whole family - we had the best time !!

we enjoyed our stay at May's place. her hospitality is superb and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. she prepared nice meals for us. the only downside is that it is in a village which means that it would be more challenging to walk around on our own. if we stayed there long enough, we should be able to navigte around the village, but it requires travelling up and down hill to get to nearest amenities by foot. otherwise, May and her family took great care of us and gave us good advice and recommendation and made our stay very memorable. we will definitely recommend her place and do it again if we have the chance.

Nice new rooms that are well cleaned. There is always someone around the house to help you. Only slight drawback is location next to the main street.
