Family-friendly holiday rentals in Yosemite West

Nice base to visit Yosemite. Hot tub was awesome overlooking the valley, space much bigger than the photos, super clean. About 1.5h from main Yosemite walks but the drive is beautiful. 15 mins drive to shops and cafes. Bed was quite soft, wife slept well but I have a bad back so that was the only downside!

Great location, unique, comfortable home! The hot tub was great after hiking all day!

Our family didn’t want to leave! The river/waterfall outside is gorgeous, and gives such a peaceful sound that can be heard up at the house. We brought out 4 kids and they loved the playground, waterfall, private bedrooms, and board games. Beautiful kitchen as well!

Cabernet’s place was incredible! The view was outstanding. She was very responsive if a problem occurred. Very comfortable beds and couch. 20 minutes from the south entrance of Yosemite. You can’t beat it!

We absolutely loved Mariposa Ridge Retreat! The views of Yosemite's granite peaks were stunning, and the house was cozy and fully equipped. The deck with a hot tub and BBQ was a highlight. The drive was easy, and the nearby village of Mariposa was charming. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!

Stayed for a couple of nights with my parents. Had a lovely stay. The house was clean and had all resources. Enjoyed the surroundings, beautiful for walks.

Valerie's place was perfect for our stay to visit Yosemite. It wasn't our first time staying in Mariposa and we knew exactly where we wanted to be in town to walk to restaurants, the grocery store, and shops. The grill was in excellent condition with all of the necessary tools which we used frequently during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and we appreciated our stay there! I would recommend staying here to others and stay here again!

Location is perfect for trip to Yosemite. The neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed the evenings on the back deck in wooded surroundings.

Overall, the stay was quite pleasant and matched the description provided by the host. This place served as a convenient stopover for our trip from SFO airport to Yosemite. (Just a tip for future travelers: be sure to download offline maps in advance, as there may be no signal along the way.) A couple of areas could be improved: the master bathroom was closed, which was a bit inconvenient, and it would be great to have a dishwasher, cauz hand washing dishes didn’t feel very hygienic.

Loved the property. Very peaceful. The best part was walking around in the morning, listening to bird song (identified 30 species) and enjoying a cup of coffee.

Terri reached out and made sure we made it safely. The home was very relaxing and peaceful with the hot tub, hammock and surrounded by trees. The pickleball court, tether ball, air hockey and table soccer were nice additives for entertainment. We booked this place to relax after our planned trip to Yosemite, the hot tub helped a ton with recovering our sore muscles from the intense hike. There is a binder with instructions for check out and any extra info we might need, I loved the fact that there is restaurant recommendations and even an itinerary for Yosemite in that binder for anybody that stays there and doesn’t know what’s around. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others! I appreciate the extra detail in recommendations and messages making sure we are safe and comfortable during our stay!

The house is great! It’s quiet and spacious. It’s about an hour and some minutes away from the arch rock entrance to Yosemite but it’s a nice drive. Don’t expect signal or wifi while you drive. The house is big and can fit about 4-6 people maybe more if people are bunking together. The kitchen is huge! I love the history of the house it used to be restaurant so I guess that’s why the kitchen is huge. The beds are warm and comfortable, those space heaters are magicians because they work so well!! Only issue was the dishwasher, which we never used, but Nicole was responsive even though it was Christmas Day (thank you again Nicole!) Overall cute house near Yosemite it’s rustic and has all the amenities. Would happily stay here again!

The location is in a quiet rural neighborhood near a creek. The grounds are woodsy with lots of lovely plants and a hummingbird feeder outside the kitchen window. Upon arrival we found fresh baked cookies and fresh cut little flower bouquets. Walking down by the creek scratched our itch for our love of the mountain creeks near our favorite camping area. Inside is a cozy mix of Victorian cottage and modern amenities. It’s close to town for shopping and dining options. Yosemite National Park is an easy 1-1/2 hours away. Kadi is a great host!

We absolutely loved Heather’s place for our three day visit to Yosemite. There were three of us, and we all had plenty of room, but honestly, we could have brought our daughter’s family with husband and two more kids, and they would have had enough room, as well. We made breakfast in the home, and we packed our lunches for Yosemite. We had everything we needed for making meals and eating in. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the awesome valley view, especially at sunset. We were able to walk around the property, though it starts out a little steep for walking, and we took pictures of the woodpeckers and California Quails nearby. Heather helped us with some Yosemite tips before we came, and we were able to plan our trip well with her knowledge. She also checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. We really liked this home, and it added to our overall trip.

Overall great experience. Appreciated all of the rooms were on the same level so our older family members didn't have any trouble getting around. Shawnda and Marc are gracious hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful property! Amy and Josh were very responsive. The airbnb was well stocked as well. We had some Difficulty with heating the house but it was better on the second day.

The home is beautiful!! It is private and secluded but just 2 blocks from the cute downtown shopping. It really is a special place. Old Spanish tudor style with lush landscape and beautiful hardscaping. We had a blast in the pool after after hiking and biking at Yosemite. We used all the wonderful amenities, basketball, pickleball, ping pong, pool and hot tub. The 4 bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds and high end linens and towels. The kitchen was very well stocked and fun to make our family dinners. Our group consensus was this place was our favorite vacation Airbnb

Beth was an amazing host and the place had everything you will need to feel like home. We had a couple of deers that visited us and that made my day . At night you can sit on the porch and stargazing. Beautiful property . We will definitely come back

Fantastic place! So many excellent little touches! The pool and hot tub were perfect temp, the view was great, the food/treats were a great addition, and the place was super cozy. We loved the place/host and would for sure stay again.

Rhonda’s place was an excellent stay for us. It was clean and comfortable - although because of the size of the space we would recommend only for two instead of three like we had. Access to the pool and outside area made for a very relaxing environment for us. As described, there is no kitchenette so it’s minimal in that way. Our daughter enjoyed Frankie, their super friendly dog.

We loved our stay here. We were welcomed as we first arrived and were shown around the property and made sure to know how to use all the great amenities this beautiful home has to offer. The jacuzzi and pool were amazing after a long day of hiking. And we felt at home with this amazing stay.
