KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. The price is the same for one or two people, and there is an additional charge per person for the third person and beyond. The living room is on the first floor, and the bedroom is on the second floor. Size: 108.5 m² (85 m² on the first floor and 23.5 m² on the second floor) If you need more than one bedroom, there are two 16.5 m² Japanese-style rooms (with separate entrances, toilets, and verandas) in the separate building at the back, so you can use a total of three bedrooms. Please let us know when you make your reservation. With the additional 51.5 m², you can use a total of 160 m² of space. For breakfast, we provide coffee, bread, butter, and eggs from Oniva Farm, although it is a simple meal.
