Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Zamalek

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

My stay at Ahmed's place was great! The apartment was clean, well equipped and very centrally located. He was a very friendly and helpful host. I would come back at any time and can only recommend it!

My family and I had a great time staying at Ahmed’s place. The place was spacious and very comfortable and has a great view. It is very close to some wonderful restuarants which are all about 5 - 10 walk away. Ahmed was a great host and very prompt in responding to any questions I had. Definately worth the money. One point to raise and this is beyond Ahmed's control they closed the walk way along the Nile. Appears they doing some work so you could not use the walk way right next to the Nile. This did not destract from the great time we had. Would recommend this place.

Wonderful stay tucked back from the gate with plants all around. Our flight arrived late on New Year's Eve. Karim was a very gracious host who stayed up past midnight on new year's to welcome us.

Great location and lovely old building. Apartment is interesting space, with a beautiful window. When I needed anything Abdelrahman was helpful and friendly.

The man is an artist! The apartment was like a fluff, very clean and has every need you may need. The man is very tasteful and respectful in dealing, and he helped me with every need I needed. Honestly, no stay nor the coolest, and I would advise anyone!"

The house is very clean and new, the kitchen is fully equipped, I like it very much, the host is very tasteful.

The apartment was fabulous - spacious, well maintained and everything you need really. Zamalek as an area is just the best part of Cairo to stay, offering a safe and quiet location with plenty of amenities - restaurants, supermarkets etc - all within easy walking distance. Uber is super cheap to get to any of the attractions with ease. The apartment itself is on the 4th floor. The windows overlook the side (off street) where some cars park. We got a bit confused locating the entrance but the host, Dina, was very supportive. She was always quick and easy to reach on WA and a great help throughout our stay. Thankyou :-) The apartment block is above some shops/ bank on the corner section of two streets. There is a passageway between these two streets - a French Bakery and coffee shop called Miette is to the side of the passageway- and an lobby desk with guard near the lifts. We absolutely recommend and can understand why people keep going back.

This is our third stay in this beautiful apartment - once before last year and then at the beginning and end of a sightseeing road trip from Cairo to Luxor to Hurghada and back to Cairo. It is such a beautiful apartment, with an amazing roof terrace. Yasser is always super helpful and it really does feel like a home away from home for us now. Can’t recommend this place highly enough ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

I had the great pleasure of staying at Tarik’s apartment in Zamalek and I can only give it my highest recommendation. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Zamalek, one of Cairo’s most charming and safest neighborhoods. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The space was spotless, tastefully decorated, and offered a perfect blend of modern comfort and authentic Egyptian charm. The peaceful atmosphere made it a wonderful retreat in the middle of the city. Tarik was an outstanding host. He was always available, incredibly friendly, and went out of his way to make me feel welcome. I would gladly return anytime and highly recommend Tarik’s apartment to anyone looking for a high-quality place to stay in Cairo. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Honestly, the location is very excellent and safe, the apartment is clean, the furniture is clean, and the host's treatment was very wonderful and in the best taste. I recommend the place, especially for families who love privacy and tranquility. There are all services under the building, and there is a very wonderful 24-hour café where you can spend the best nights.

We had a fabulous stay at Ranwa’s in Zamalek while visiting for a wedding. It was a peaceful haven in the centre of Cairo. Ranwa was flexible and helpful in messaging. The rooms are spacious and light. The kitchen is well stocked. The hot water is a bit tricky but does work. We would highly recommend staying here! Best wishes, Alex and family.

I loved this apartment and felt right at home. The light in the evenings and the many plants really added to the charm - and sitting on the balcony in the evenings was a real treat. Samia was a lovely host, provided some food and tea to ensure I had something when I got in, and was communicative throughout. The apartment is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, full stove, etc. I enjoyed the neighborhood - it is very walkable and in a great location for exploring Zamalek. I will definitely stay here again!
