Holiday rentals with breakfast in Aci Castello

I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

We had a great stay in Tina’s place. Tina was always very helpful and very quick to respond to requests. The place is really peaceful and beautiful. To sit outside and listen to nightingales singing, scops owls calling at night and many more birds was fantastic. The only other noise was the bells on the cows as they came past the house to go for a drink. The flowers along the tracks are gorgeous. The place has a fantastic ambience. A wonderful relaxing retreat. Wish we had been able to stay longer.

I’ve never stayed in an Airbnb that offered such thoughtful touches: a generous selection of coffee, biscuits, cakes, and bread. I highly recommend her place. While it’s a bit of a walk to the city center, taking different routes each day allowed us to discover so much more of the area.”

Great place in an excellent neighborhood. Plenty to do, lots of delicious restaurants within walking distance, and close to the train station. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Marielen is a fantastic host and very hospitable.

The Airbnb was great. Sicily was beautiful and the views of Etna were incredible.

Elisa’s home was absolutely stunning! The views were incredible, and Elisa was so helpful and kind! We were a few hours late due to a cancelled train, and Elisa not only stayed up late to still welcome us, but arranged for a taxi to come get us. She was so kind, thoughtful, and helpful! I cannot recommend this place enough! A perfect stay!

We stayed at the accommodation with three children. Maria provided us with a cot, a high chair and even a stroller. We were very impressed with how child-friendly the stay was. Maria also contacted us again to see if we needed anything and if everything was okay. The accommodation itself could not be better located. There is a classy café that is also open very early, a great park with playgrounds is a 3-minute walk and the old town is also around the corner. We'd come back any time.

Everything was perfect, great cleanliness, communication, kindness. No problem, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is the best airbnb I've stayed in. The flat is superb: it has been renovated to an incredibly high standard. Fixtures and fittings feel like a luxury hotel and the hosts have been so thoughtful in providing everything you might need during a stay. It's situated perfectly for exploring Catania, but the street itself is quiet. Breakfast in a lovely nearby cafe is delicious. Communication was impeccable and Manuel and Marta went out of their way to accommodate us even though we didn't book until late on the evening we were arriving. Don't hesitate to book this place: I would feel lucky to stay here the next time I visit Catania.

Pina is hands-down the best host I've ever had on Airbnb. She reminded me of my homestay mom from high school — but with even more style! As a true Taormina celebrity, everyone says hello to her and she knows every corner of this town. From uncovering local history (museums to luxury hotels) to guiding me through the most convenient routes, her expertise made everything effortless. Staying at her place felt like living in an art gallery, wrapped in the warmest family atmosphere I’ve ever experienced.

Our stay in Catania was gorgeous. The apartment is in an old baroque palace. It has a great location, just 200 meters from Piazza del Duomo, so you can easily and safely go the old town even during the evening/night. Our host was very responsive. It is really worth staying at that place.

Giusy and her family were amazing! I love the location of the peaceful and quiet surrounding. Very easy to reach and safe by car. Giusy gave us a very warm welcome and kind introduction. Home feeling of stay there with a pretty skylight garden featuring air-con. We love the homemade cake served by her. It was our birthday road trip. There are lots of nice restaurant and easy to reach to the volcano tour. Everything is perfect. Even we received daily suggestion of attractions from her. We had a very nice stay for 3 days. Very comfortable room, good mattress, quiet with access to the garden, products in the bathroom like at the hotel! Varied breakfast and coffee is prepared by the hosts themselves, which allows for a pleasant moment of conversation. The stay at Sara's was simply beautiful, the accommodation is quiet, you have absolute privacy and you can quickly reach the surrounding cities by car. Sara is very friendly, prepared a great breakfast for us every day, we felt so comfortable. 100% recommendation!
