Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Akureyri

What a beautiful place to stay. A lot of care and thought has gone into the house, and our hosts could not have been more friendly and responsive. Thank you Ólöf and Ægir, we had a great Christmas in Ólafsfjörður!

Beautiful location - plus we were lucky enough to see northern lights right there! Place was as described, very comfortable, easy drive to downtown Akureyri. We had a wonderful time - thank you!

Gehobene Ausstattung, Kleinigkeiten leider defekt. EineTerassentüre konnte man nicht öffnen war mit Hinweisschild markiert. Fernseher im Wohnzimmer funktioniert nicht. Ist uns aber nicht abgegangen. Im Badezimmer die Beleuchtung für den Spiegel ließ sich nicht anschalten. Wäre das alles ok gewesen, 5 Sterne, so nur 4 Sterne. Mit der Bewertung haben wir uns an der sehr gehobenen Ausstattung orientiert, da erwartet man dann, dass auch alles funktioniert. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen. Gerade der Außenpool war wunderschön. Auf Fragen wurden innerhalb kurzer Zeit geantwortet.

Absolutely perfect place for our visit! The pictures do not do this house justice. Felt cleaner and airier and has a better view than we even expected! Has a commanding view of Akureyri and you can watch airplanes take off and land from the living room window. The hot tub was perfect as well! Cannot recommend highly enough!

This was a beautiful house tucked away in Olafsfjordur. It looked exactly like the pictures and was very clean. The hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of the day and the weight room in the garage was a welcomed activity after long hours driving around the countryside. Would definitely stay here again!

I wish we could have stayed here for a week. Or a month. Such a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Great design and architecture. Happy little signs of family life but also spacious and accommodating. Both secluded and close to Akureyri. Only regret is that I didn’t try out one of the many hammocks on the property. Loved taking a small watercolor, painted by the host’s mother, home as a reminder of our stay.

A beautiful spot! The house is cozy and better than the photos. We had some issues with getting the hot tub to fill up and get hot. But other than that, the house was great and fully equipped! Please note- the tunnel is approx $21 each way so plan your trips to Akureryi and such accordingly! The only restaurant I think nearby is at the golf course. But the house is a great spot for dining in.

We stayed 3 nights and it was a very comfortable house (6 people). Spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the fjord. Quiet neighborhood with icelandic ponies, sheep and cows nearby. Downtown was close by so we could eat at some of the excellent restaurants in Akureyri. We used the house as a gateway to Myvatn lake area and Husavik. One of my favorite AirBNB stays ever.

The place was as described and it was a peaceful neighbourhood. The view from the living room was amazing! I would gladly recommend his place to others.

Wonderful house, great location in Akureyri, just a few min to walk anywhere in town. Perfectly clean, very well planned so we were 8 adults/teens sleeping comfortable. Highly recommend.

Une des meilleures guesthouse de notre voyage. Accueil chaleureux avec visite de la maison par les hôtes. La guesthouse est grande et agréable avec des chambres thématiques décorées avec soin. Les lits sont très grands et très confortables. La cuisine est bien équipée et donne sur une terrasse avec jacuzzi. Il y a deux frigos pour les voyageurs avec des caisses de rangement en fonction des chambres. On se sent comme à la maison dans cette guesthouse 🙂

We stayed here one night, and it met our needs, arriving fairly late. Plenty of shared spaces for guests to use. Breakfast started at 8am (currently listing shows 7:30), but it was worth the wait for the delicious spread and interaction with other guests!

We really enjoyed our stay in Grenivík. The house is beautifully designed inside—every room felt thoughtfully put together and very comfortable. The views outside were just as impressive, making it a peaceful and scenic place to stay.

Ci siamo trovati in un piccolo mondo a parte, dalle ciabatte a disposizione all'ingresso, alla cucina superatrezzata e conviviale, la cura degli arredi un pò stile vintage, l'attenzione ai dettagli ci hanno accolto con una devozione rara da trovare. Gummi, il nostro host è stato veramente gentile e molto disponibile, bellissima esperienza nell'Islanda del nord, lo consiglio!

Such a beautiful cabin in northern Iceland watching the animals roam around with the beautiful views of the ocean and the snowy mountains truly an unforgettable place and experience. The hosts were so kind and welcoming we would love to come back one day.

A very cozy and peaceful cabin in a beautiful surrounding. We were 7 people in total, and we fit very well in the cabin.

Beautiful stay -enjoyed the view and location. We had a small issue with the water and we received excellent communication and made sure it was fixed.

In Saras Haus haben wir am ersten Tag erst etwas Ordnung schaffen und putzen müssen um uns wohl zu fühlen. Vielleicht sehen andere Leute das entspannter, aber wir hatten etwas höhere Ansprüche, was Sauberkeit betrifft. Es war auch wenig Platz um eigene Dinge und Anziehsachen zu verstauen. Danach haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit genossen. Es war gemütlich und erholsam, der Blick fantastisch und der Hot Tub ein super Extra!! Wir waren fast jeden Tag darin, auch bei Sturm und Hagel… In der Küche ist alles vorhanden und es gibt sogar Spielzeug und Bücher für Kinder, was uns richtig gut gefallen hat. Sara hat uns schnell geantwortet und auch einen Discount auf eine Walsafari ermöglicht. Vielen Dank für alles, Sara!

Amazing hosts in an amazing cottage! The price value money you get is extremely good. The cottage was well equipped located in a private safe area. Close from Akureyri and with many different activities nearby. Stefan and Asta are extremely responsive and kind. There is a hot tub, board games, an amazing tv and a playground nearby for kids. It is my family’s favourite accommodation from our Iceland tour.

This was a great place to stay, it was in a great location for our adventure in Akureyri. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our trip. The host was great with communication and helpful.Highly recommend!
