Hotel holiday rentals in Alajuela Province

I loved everything about Eden - the kind, warm delightful Enid who stayed up very late so I could check-in after flying from Australia, the delicious breakfast she served, the clean and comfortable room, the lush garden and refreshing pool. As an older woman travelling solo for a few days in a country where I do not speak the language, it was the perfect place to recover from jetlag. I felt safe and cared for. Carlos, the driver they recommended to me was an added bonus, as was meeting some of the other interesting guests.

The villa was very well located, easily accessible and with everything you need. All very clean and very nice decor. The reality even better than the photos. It's inside a complex where they give all kinds of facilities. David was an excellent host, friendly and lovely, providing recommendations, and having details with us. In short, a place to stay and a host of 10.

The apartments was very spacious and beautiful, near the airport and easy to reach, perfect start for our Road Trip.

This place is definitely better than we expected. It’s located directly in the middle of the jungle and it’s so charming and beautiful. The trails around the property were fun to walk and the pools are lovely. Also, we love the little animals all over the property would recommend this place to anybody looking for a wonderful stay

This place is an absolute gem! The views of the lake Arenal are fantastic and the house has a charm that the pictures don't do it justice. You have see it in person to appreciate the place. Patrick and his wife were excellent hosts, very helpful with anything we needed. The house is minutes to Nuevo Arenal, lake Arenal and lake Cote, one hour and a half from La Fortuna in one direction and from Tenorio Volcan with Rio Celeste in another direction. e Excellent location to have for a base and visit a large area. Thank you for hosting us and we will be back!

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

We loved our stay in Casitas! It's truly a beautiful place. It's worth a journey to go to Bijagua to stay in this place. We were truly connected to the incredible nature of this place and saw tucans and other tropical birds, monkeys from our balcony in just few meters, squirrels and hummingbirds, sounds of tropical frogs and some interesting beetles and also fireflies. I'd probably recommend a rather short stay, as it could become a bit boring if you're not exploring widely the area. If you do, make sure to hit the trail next to this property, it'll be an experience on its own.

Exceptional stay with a tour in the nature and in the territory of Santa Maria with Walter, a guide really passionate about his work who transmits good general knowledge about the places. Panoramic view of the incredible jungle from the room and beautiful site in nature with great biodiversity.

Incredible level of service, friendliness, and hospitality. Everyone in the staff was incredibly happy to be at our service and very proud of the property and it’s amenities. The restaurant is incredible and the separate bar by the hot springs is also excellent. The location and surround rain forest was one of the best experiences of my life. My thanks to the staff and the owners for crafting such a wonderful space.

Everyone was very friendly and eager from the beginning. We felt well cared for. Thank you! The view from the room with the floor-to-ceiling windows was fantastic, also from the balcony and the terrace where you could eat. The bathroom in the room was very small (unlike on the pictures), and the pool was a little "fresh"which did not bother us. The hot tub was great for relaxing. The food, breakfast like dinner were typical of the country and very good. It was also nice that there was a fridge and coffee (with machine) in the room. We stayed here for 3 nights and would book here again if we were to come back to the area around La Fortuna. Thank you so much for everything! Keep it up! Best regards to Keilor, you are great. this place is amazing and easy to find. it has all your basic necessities and the bed is the best. after a long day of exploring lying down in their bed is so soft you just sink in. great place for cutting cost in an expensive country.

This place is amazing. The entire property is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was large, perfectly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend it!

Great home! Just bring seasonings if you are planning on cooking. I appreciate that everyone was so helpful and quick to fix the WiFi tissue I had for only a day…I was able to work and enjoy walking to town for what I need. Highly recommend!

This as one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. The property was gorgeous and so special with beautiful nature, wildlife, and an incredible tranquil setting. The owner was so kind and always pointed out birds and wildlife to me and even went on a night walk with me to look for frogs. The property also has kayaks that they let you take out on the gorgeous little lake. The cabin itself is lovely and spacious and you have it all to yourself! Truly wonderful - I would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.
