Cottage holiday rentals in Alameda County

This was our second stay here. Our daughter's family lives in the neighborhood and this is the perfect location for us to stay while visiting. It is quiet, comfortable and just what we need. The yard is very cute and we love to look at the animals with our grandchildren. We lucked out and saw the planets aligned from the driveway on the 25th, as it is dark enough to view the stars without city lights. Don and Lori are great hosts- there are treats and fresh eggs in the fridge, and everything we needed was right there. We will be back.

OMG, I wanted to stay like, forever! This place is so nicely decorated and charming! I loved the flowers and yard. Walking around the neighborhood was lovely. It was just beautiful. The hot tub was a nice added treat. I have a favorite Jewelry designer in Berkley called Hotcakes/Favor that I got to visit and shop. There are so many places to explore in the area. I definitely want to come back.

Very good stay! The place was in a great area, close to many spots, and super spacious with all the necessary amenities. The interior design was really cute and made it feel extra welcoming. Would recommend!

Mara is a great host, charming and thorough.........a great combination for us! Her detailed instructions and "hands-off" thereafter approach was perfect for us. The unit was just the right size for us and had everything we needed for our week plus stay. We hope to visit and stay again in the future as the location is perfect for us.

Had the best time staying here , hot tub and spa was relaxing and was very well needed. House was clean and cozy would definitely book again

This room offers more space than many studios I've rented. One window offers a view of the bay, and with the variety of furniture you'll find many spots to comfortably read a book. The bed is magnificent. Possible downsides: no TV, the shower is shared, and there may be squirrels running on the roof above you. None of this bothered me, and even if it did, Claire's hospitality more than made up for it. I would happily stay here again.

Great location, very walkable to the main area on Grand Ave and Lake Merritt. It’s a small space but had everything I needed as a solo traveler. Jintang has great communication and responds almost immediately to any questions. Everything from booking to check out was extremely easy and straightforward. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend booking with Jintang.

Quiet neighborhood great view beautiful home highly recommend

Riza and Miguel were literally perfect hosts. They were attentive and proactive even before we checked in. All of their instructions are super clear and they communicated in a very kind and respectful manner. Self check-in was super easy. Parking in the back right next to the location made me feel a bit safer that my car wasn’t on the street. Which made unloading and loading the car so easy. The home was clean and beautiful and looks so much better in person than the pictures. The kitchen was spacious and stocked with all the necessary appliances, and the bedrooms are a good size with super comfortable beds. Any need that came up during the trip, Riza and Miguel responded with promptness. 10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend and would absolutely go stay here again with my dog. The home is located in the heart of Oakland, so it is very centrally located and easy to get around to freeways, etc. But it is in the city so it is important to be hyper aware of your surroundings

The space was clean and had many accommodations, complimentary wine and snacks were a plus and Clifford’s communication was the best.

This little cottage is snug, but it had everything we need. Andrew and his family were very sweet and incredibly helpful. The neighborhood was beautiful and very close to everything we needed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I called her 5⭐️ Clair because she was absolutely on point with everything and made sure I was taken care of even as she was on a trip out of the country....she was still providing me with everything I needed. The place is very private and peaceful and I also didn't have any personal interaction with the host or family which I consider to be a good thing as long as you have minimal interactions and enjoy your trip and I did just that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house(s) were extremely clean, with toys and books and games for our kids. I didn't realize it was two houses but it ended up working out very well for us. Our youngest son was so in love with the goats, it was the first thing he asked for in the morning! We will definitely stay here again!

I love this space. Like a secret, private and quiet garden. I could keep the windows and doors open

We spent 4 nights in May of 2025. All the positive reviews are legit. The cottage is quaint, but modern and well equipped. Everything works and is in great shape. Shower has excellent water flow. Bed is very comfy and feels like high quality memory foam mattress and pillows. Elly was quick to respond to emails and text messages. Our schedules never matched so we never met face-to-face, but it was unnecessary. There is a cute little patio as shown in the pics and a BBQ is available. AC works great. We will definitely stay again and considering the high price for hotels these days, the rate for the cottage is a good value. Oh, and the fridge ice maker works great and fast. The cottage was beatiful and very comfortable. The views made it especially calming and peaceful and the parking was very easy which is a plus in this area. The hosts thought of every detail. I would stay again I visited the area again.

Aminta was accommodating as our car plans shifted between booking and arrival. Unit was nice and clean, with enough accommodations to make our stay feel homey. backing out of the parking area was a little tricky in a car I didn't know but wouldn't be an issue in my car if that makes sense. I'd book again if/ when I'm back in town
