Holiday rentals with breakfast in Alexandra

Jo and Bruce know all the good places to visit and dine. They also have a file full of information should we need to refer later. Once I was at their door I felt right at home with the smell of baking and the warm welcome by Jo. Cromwell has gem like the Cromwell heritage precinct and the lavender farm that I enjoyed walking around. I also like the fact that the house is so near to Queenstown and Wanaka if you want more activities and shopping. For me the serenity of the town and the home is the best.

Lee's place was a great setup, we were in Clyde to visit friends and Lee was very welcoming, friendly and the Unit was cozy and warm. our stay was very pleasant and we highly recommend Lee's place to stay

This was my second stay at Thyme Out and it was just as good as the first stay. Lovely and clean, warm and cosy. Handy to walk into town and have a drink as well. Thanks so much Kate!

It was lovely staying with Trish and Ken. We enjoyed their hospitality, humor and the beautiful location of their home! It was a perfect distance from Queenstown and we enjoyed our chats in the morning with them. The views were amazing, and so was the local winery down the road. Highly recommend!

Trish was quick to respond to our request and was very welcoming upon arrival. The home is beautifully presented and private, lovely gardens and animals. Both Trish and Ken are easy welcoming hosts and do a great job. Invited to join on the deck for drinks with them was a lovely gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back when we are next in town. Absolutely perfect 👌

We loved our time in the vineyard cottage. It was so comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere. Situated amongst the vines meant it was a special treat for us townies. We had everything we needed and becasue the weather was a bit didgy we lit the fire a couple of times and were very cosy. The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of small touches that made it special. Of course the pinot noir helped. Paul was a great host. Highly recommend

Nicole is a wonderful host with great communication. Her house is in a great location. We used it as a base to explore Cromwell, but also surrounding areas such as Queenstown, Alexandra/Clyde. It is also very close to Wanaka. It was very clean with excellent facilities and plenty of space for large groups. We were a family group of 10 plus a baby, where Nicole kindly supplied a portacot and highchair which was very helpful to us. We stayed for 6 nights. We highly recommend this property. This is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts are so generous and the Cottage is so nicely situated and appointed that we felt privileged to stay here. Provided breakfast items, snacks, fruits, and beverages were much appreciated, too. So close to many wonderful wineries, and the nearby Bannockburn Hotel is not to be missed for dinner. Chris and Jules (and friendly Lenny underfoot) made us feel so welcome in this peaceful and restful setting, with excellent views in all directions. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay in Corals well equipped Studio just out of the busy part of Cromwell. The studio was clean, quite big with our own terace and very well equipped. Also had a good chat with Coral :)

We had a wonderful stay at Sue & Trev’s - beautiful surroundings, really lovely and well-presented accommodation with a very generous and delicious breakfast provided! Loads to do in the area, we could have easily stayed longer. Sue & Trev were also very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We would absolutely recommend and would stay again if in Bannockburn!

Waiorau Homestead was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. Our hostess Ann was extremely attentive and made sure we had every thing on hand to ensure a relaxing and peaceful stay. The most comfortable bed and luxurious down comforters and pillows were 5 star quality. Our room was thoughtfully decorated and felt like we were in a Parisian Hotel. A lovely buffet breakfast greeted us each morning which comprised of seasonal fruits, cereals , eggs on toast and croissants followed by freshly brewed coffee. Thank you so much for having us & making our stay perfect.

What a lovely welcome to the Cromwell area. Susan and Ian were lovely hosts, and we all enjoyed our breakfast - perfect start to a day ski-ing. Lovely comfy beds, and warm rooms in the middle of winter.

Kate, Andrew and family were amazing hosts. The room was beautiful and included touches that made us really feel at home. Stand outs were the wonderfully home made breakfasts that Kate made to dietary restrictions, the brilliant recommendations in their online guidebook, and the fantastic scenery. All in all it was an amazing stay with proactive hosts and we would love to stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Hands-down this was the best AirBnB experience I’ve ever had - and I’ve travelled extensively. AirBnB should do a case study on Fred and Samantha, and the service offering they provide to share a template for what best practise looks like. Great hosts, lovely room, amazing cooked breakfast each morning - prepared with local produce and a scenic location. Could not have asked for more. A fabulous stay!!

Loved staying at Lynne’s place. Such a treasure to meet her and Fred. Loved our accommodation and looking at the other stone cottage. Watches the bees on the lavander plants as we had dinner. Felt so at home and welcomed. Would come again when back in NZ.

Susan and Mike's private spot just out of Clyde was perfect for our short stay. Their guest area is private, homely, and had everything we needed. We appreciated the yummy breakfast, and the friendly chat we had over our morning coffee. Fantastic hosts and a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Nikki’s while doing the Central Otago Rail Trail. It was a short ride to her place in historic Ophir and we enjoyed looking around. She is about 1km from an historic bridge. The accommodation was very lovely in an old stone cottage that had been lovingly restored. It had good heating and very comfortable bed and a slow combustion stove if you want to stay in. 2 great venues to eat. Highly recommended.
