GODA. Island Hideaway on Svartsö

Fish and bathe in the lake, heat up in the sauna, do yoga and long table dinners in the orangery and sleep under the stars in the cabin. Named GODA ('good'), this is a wonderful place to get back to nature. GODA is a twist on “good” (gott in Swedish/god in Danish); an island hide-out for curious young souls like yourself demanding goodness for nature, self and others. We build GODA in 2016-2018 and she continues to grow and evolve as you will see if you visit her. GODA comfortably hosts 7 people in beds (plus 2 kids beds and 2 baby beds) in the main house and 6 people in Mini GODA. Our latest newcomer with own kitchen, bathroom and space. So a total of 13 adults and 4 kids can enjoy the space collectively, then using madrases on the floor, in the Orangerie or on the benches in the relax room in the sauna to accommodate additional people. The rent is primarily for the main cabin and if a larger group than 7, also for Mini GODA. If you want to access the sauna, orangeri and hot tub, please let us know in advance and we can arrange that, however, the hot tub should be used for stays longer than 4 nights and depends the water level in the lake. The sauna might be rented out by the island hotel during your stay, unless you specifically would like the privacy. In that case, please let us know. The only immediate neighbors are the fascinating fauna that can be discovered all around. There's easy access from the mainland, with boats running all year long. The best access point is on the north side of the island. There are only about 10 cars on the island, all with special permission, so please park your car on one of the main island access points, e.g. Vaxholm (for best access to the house via the north side), Åsättra (Ljusterö) brygga or Boda. You can rent bikes to get around from the grocery store or the hotel (the hotel is only 300m walk from the ground) Easy access from the main land with boats running all year around. The best access is on the North side of the island. Frisk luft i lugn skogsmiljö

Alldeles för sig själv, längst bort på vår tomt ligger vår lilla stuga i en skogsglänta. Här är lugnt och tyst. Bara natur och på badrocks avstånd finns en varm badsjö. Hela området genomkorsas av härliga promenadstråk och det är en knapp km ner till havsviken. Herrbret, som vi kallar stugan, har en härlig altan i solläge på framsidan. Allt är fräscht och nybyggt i gammal stil men med modern standard och utrustning. Stugan är avsedd som en skön avkopplande oas för två personer i naturens närhet

Njut av detta unika och fridfulla boende med havet vid dina fötter. Ta båt till kringliggande öar, spring eller gå på stigarna, basta i solnedgången i egen vedeldad bastu längst ut på bryggan eller bada vid stranden, det är naturupplevelser när de är som bäst. Butik finns på ön så ni kan packa lätt, ta er ut i skärgården med färjan som går flera gånger om dagen och bara njuta! Liten motorbåt ingår i bokningen. Även pingisbord och bouleplan! Huset är tillgängligt och varmt året om! Välkomna!

Avstånd till Stockholm 1,5 tim. med buss och ca 1 tim. med bil. Nära till 18-håls golfbana. Sevärda platser på Ljusterö: Naturreservatet på Östra Lagnö med klippbad och utskärgård. Linanäs samhälle med restaurang och båtförbindelse med Stockholm via Vaxholm. Siaröfortet nås via båtförbindelse från Östanå.

Cosy cottage on a beautiful woodland plot. It has a secluded location at a height next to the forest. Fresh furniture and all amenities one can wish for. Drinkingwater comes from our own source and taste fantastic! Close to nice sea baths and possibility to go around Gula Vindövarvet, a beautiful walking path of 10 km through forest and along the sea. Vi var fyra tjejkompisar som spenderade en lugn helg i Lindas hus. Innan resan var vi lite nervösa över avståndet och båtkommunikationen till ön, men det var förvånansvärt smidigt att ta sig dit! Se bara till att handla med er allt ni behöver + egna lakan/handdukar. Boende ligger vackert beläget, terrassen är ljuvlig och boendet är utrustat med allt man kan tänkas behöva. Vi hade gärna spenderat fler dagar här! Linda är en tillmötesgående värd, svarar snabbt och är hjälpsam med såväl reseplanering som frågor. Vid problem med badtunnan svarade hon direkt och erbjöd kompensation - proffsigt och hjälpsamt. Det som hade kunnat höja betyget ytterligare hade varit om lakan/handdukar ingick samt småsaker som ex. toalettpapper. Men det framgick tydligt att vi skulle ta med detta. Summerat en fantastisk helg i otroligt fint hus, otrolig terrass och omgivningar.

We had a great girls trip at Jacueline’s cottage! Gorgeous surroundings, which made a perfect escape from the city for a few days. Jacueline was very communicative, checking in to make sure we settled in well and were enjoying our stay. Definitely recommend!

Ich habe eine sehr schöne Woche bei Christin verbracht. Alles entsprach genau der Beschreibung und Christin war sehr hilfsbereit. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass man 20 Minuten zu Fuss von der Bushaltestelle gehen muss und der Bus oft nur einmal pro Stunde fährt. Aber mit der SL-App klappt es gut. Ich kann das Häuschen nur empfehlen. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und ruhig.

Superbe emplacement au calme avec paddle et canoë pour explorer les environs. Très bien équipé: four à pizza, barbecue, bain chauffé au bois… Sur l’île nous avons pu cueillir des myrtilles et faire un clafoutis! Nous avons passé 5 jours au top!

We (a family with two children aged 6 and 11) spent a week in Mattias‘ house in warm and sunny late august. We liked it very much. The house and the interiors are old, so don’t expect a high end resort. But it offers great opportunities. Beautifuly situated, direct access to both shallow and deeper water, an own jetty, many beds, a beautiful garden, good shop and boat within walking distance. Mattias was very kind, flexible, friendly and helpful.
