It is located in a pedestrian area, so it is not accessible by car, but there is a convenient paid parking lot a 2-minute walk away and free parking along the road a little further away. Close to the most important places to visit! Access to the apartments is on a comfortable ground floor but the view from the balcony of apartment number 1 is on a high floor (magic of the Sassi of Matera!)

Quercus: Apartment with terrace

"Quercus" is a 19th century building, located in the historic center of Alberobello, within the magnificent setting of the trulli (typical local buildings and UNESCO heritage site). The apartment consists of two double bedrooms, each with a private and independent bathroom, and a kitchenette. One of the two rooms has a terrace from which to admire the trulli of the "rione monti" and "aia piccola". Quercus will make you savor the atmosphere and flavors of a one-of-a-kind land.

Grotta Confort in the Sassi

Inside a popular hotel in the Sassi di Matera, this cave room is accessed from the common terrace through a large French door. It's an alcove entirely dug into the tuff. Extremely welcoming even just for the conformation, hollow and rounded it looks almost like a mother's womb. The bathroom, although small, has a bidet and a shower. It is equipped with air conditioning, TV, mini-bar and free WiFi. A rich and special breakfast buffet is included in the cost of the cave.

My house is a typical house in Stones of Matera, partly carved into the rock and partly built in tuff. The spaces have been furnished with a hint of reference to the history of the peoples who have lived for centuries in these caves, without removing anything from the comfort that modernity has given us. Built between the 1300 and 1400s, a stone loft overlooking the Adriatic Sea. This building was first used a cannon house and throughout the following years served as a warehouse, a coal pit and an atelier of a renowned local painter.
