Gåsøya 4 is our cabin which is idyllically situated at the water's edge on Gåsøya in the middle of Bleiksvatnet. It sleeps 4 guests. Two minutes drive from the parking lot up to the famous mountain top Måtind. The cabin has running water and electricity, hallway, two bedrooms, toilet room with shower, living room and kitchen. The lean-to is right on the waterfront. The boat house located between the gap and the cabin is equipped with benches and tables and is well suited as a living room.

Built after the war by a woman named Hulda, it’s still known to the locals as “Hulda-huset.” My husband and I spent a year renovating it with local materials, honouring its original design. Today, it also serves as an Artist Residency, with artworks from past and future guests gradually filling its walls.
