Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. On this path one can enjoy the spacious trail, go for a quick jog, or use the public exercise equipment located along the trail. This is good for a couple, alone, and long-term residents. Rooftop house is on the fifth floor. There is no elevator. Smoking outdoors.
