We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

Wir waren eine Woche zu sechst in dem Haus und hatten eine fantastische Zeit! Leider war es draußen eher kalt und hat fast durchgängig nur geregnet, sodass wir die tolle Außenanlage mit Pool nur sehr wenig genutzt haben. Aber auch bei Regen kann man dort super entspannen: drinnen am Kamin auf der Couch, mit Gesellschaftsspielen am großen Esstisch, beim Billard oder Dart. Draußen bietet der überdachte Bereich am Steinofen und Grillplatz selbst bei Regen einen gemütlichen Ort, wir haben dort gegrillt, Pizza gebacken und zusammen Sport gemacht. Der Ausblick vom Pool und dem Steintisch oben ist mindestens so schön wie auf den Fotos, traumhaft! Die Betten sind super bequem, wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Nebenan bellen Hunde, daran haben wir uns aber schnell gewöhnt. Die Lage ist schon sehr weit vom Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt, mit Auto aber kein Problem. César war ein hervorragender Gastgeber, hat uns sogar nachts empfangen und war jederzeit erreichbar und super nett!

Our stay with Dino and Ines was exceptional. The house and garden are beautifully kept and the pool was the cherry on top. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the facilities were fantastic, with many essentials catered for in the house. The surrounding area is really amazing and it was very easy to get around to places of interest. The hosts gave us so many brilliant recommendations for places to visit, nearby attractions, restaurants to eat and made it such an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely revisit in the future.

Après 5 nuits passés dans cet endroit magnifique j'ai eu beaucoup de peine à le quitter.. j'ai déprimé et pleuré tellement ce lieu est parfait, c'est pour dire ! Enfaîte, si je pouvais acheter ce bien je le ferais sans hésiter une seconde 💫 Honnêtement, je suis encore choquée par cette vue à couper le souffle.. que l'on soit dans le lit, sur la terrasse, dans le bain chaud ou encore dans la piscine, c'est juste sublime, incroyable, envoûtant... Je n'ai pas assez d'adjectif pour qualifier ce lieu, tout ce que je sais, c'est que j'aimerais y retourner le plus vite possible ✨️ PS : penser a acheter de quoi faire du feu pour le barbecue et le brasero (avec des chamallow)

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

A fantastic and unique space that really shows the incredible potential of buildings in Porto. The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable, and communication with the host was smooth and easy. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time in a wonderful location! The appartment is super equipped and has a wide view over the stunning garden and the country. Although... 'garden' seems to small a word for the park that it really is. We just loved it! Also the host was super helpful with everything! Thank you!

Ich hatte einen tollen Aufenthalt in dem Tiny House. Die Lage ist super und das Haus ist gemütlich. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und würde immer wiederkommen. Die Gastgeber sind super hilfsbereit und bei Fragen immer ansprechbar!

Très belle villa , l’extérieur avec ses multiples terrasses et sa piscine est un véritable havre de paix . Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien équipés . On trouve toutes les commodités ( lave linge , fer à repasser, dolce gusto …) pour y passer un très bon séjour . De plus Ema et ses équipes sont très accueillantes . Seul point de vigilance, il est nécessaire d’être véhiculé car la villa est assez isolée. En bref je recommande ! 😊

Poucas palavras refletem o quão boa foi a nossa estadia na Iris D'Arga. O João e a Astrid são uns anfitriões amáveis que desde cedo te fazem sentir em casa. A casa é linda e bem decorada e equipada, inspiradora até. A piscina é óptima para passar ótimas tardes de verão. E a Serra D'Arga, essa, é magnífica. Para quem gosta de trilhos, bicicleta, cascatas, fauna, etc, recomendo a 200%. Se não gostarem de nada disso, a recomendação é a mesma porque o que não faltam é coisas para fazer à volta de Covas. Resumindo, super recomendado e ainda viemos com uma recordação ótima de madeira de um workshop tão sábio feito com o João.

Aunque la casa parece estar aislada, todos los servicios básicos —como farmacia, restaurantes, supermercados, gasolinera, panaderías, etc.— están a solo 5 minutos, lo cual es increíble. Disfrutas de la tranquilidad y privacidad del campo, pero con toda la comodidad de tener los servicios de la zona muy cerca. La casa es preciosa y acogedora. Fuimos con niños durante una semana y aprovechamos el jardín todos los días. Está muy bien equipada y la limpieza es impecable.

La mejor casa con diferencia en la que nos hemos hospedado. Muy bonita y con infinifad de detalles para hacer la estancia más cómoda. Muchas gracias a Sergio por su hospitalidad y amabilidad. Nos hemos sentido como en casa

Simplesmente fantástico! Tivemos uma estadia incrível na casa do Rui e da Marisa. Tudo estava impecavelmente limpo, bem cuidado e com uma decoração cheia de bom gosto e atenção aos detalhes. Sentimo-nos em casa desde o primeiro momento. Adorámos o jacuzzi e, claro, o espaço da fogueira, que tornou as noites ainda mais especiais. Foi tudo pensado para proporcionar conforto e momentos memoráveis. Nota-se o carinho com que tudo foi preparado! Recomendamos a 100% e esperamos voltar no futuro. Das kleine Haus ist ein wunderbarer Urlaubsort. Es ist sehr liebevoll und gleichzeitig praktisch eingerichtet. So hat man alles, was man braucht. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist großartig. Gut ist auch, dass es einen Kamin gibt, es kann doch ungemütlich kalt sein abends. Sehr praktisch fand ich den Wintergarten, er heizt sich tagsüber auf und man kann die Wärme für das Haus nutzen. Außerdem ist er die Verbindung von Haus zum Bad - sehr gut gelöst. Wir haben auch das Barbecue häufig benutzt, zumal es im Fischladen um die Ecke fangfrischen Fisch gibt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Vielen lieben Dank, Rita & João! Rechtzeitig zur Ankunft in Porto erhielten wir eine detaillierte Wegbeschreibung zu den Gegebenheiten vor Ort. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich im Anwesen empfangen und erhielten die Schlüssel. Das Anwesen entspricht exakt den Bildern und es mangelte uns, während des Aufenthalts in Ventosa, an nichts. Wir haben die freie Zeit sehr genossen!

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

We had a fabulous stay at Josés property. The space was beautifully designed, it had a very zen feel. We felt so relaxed there. It was a perfect spot for visiting Guimarães and Jose was very thorough when we met him, telling us all about his property and the local area. Would highly recommend and would have loved to have stayed longer
