The house was just what our family needed for our trip to NOLA. The location is perfect. It took us about 15 minutes to get to wherever we wanted to go. There are plenty of restaurants and markets close by and within walking distance. The neighborhood was friendly and felt very safe. The house was just as described and was a nice place to come back to after a long day exploring. The hosts supplied so many things that are often forgotten by travelers. The pool was a welcome respite after a long hot day. The house provides plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. NOLA definitely has its own vibe and this house allowed us to feel like the locals during our stay. Thanks for sharing.

Such a beautiful and spacious home. It was super easy to get into and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the outdoor space and using the pool. The neighborhood was very nice and neighbors were friendly. Would 100% return!

My wife and I stayed in this Air BNB in Slidell for our anniversary trip in May of 2025. We had an awesome time! We’ve stayed in a lot of places and this one hands down has been the most at home we’ve ever felt. The house was clean, welcoming and so peaceful. Stephanie was wonderful to interact with. The Purple Purch is extremely comfy with everything you need. The lake views are priceless and go on forever. We slept so good! Shannon & Aamie could not have been better hosts. So kind, thoughtful and flexible. Very attentive & responsive when we had a question. If you are looking for peace & serenity on the water away from hustle of downtown N’Orleans then this is your place. Morning coffee outside on screened deck overlooking the lake was everyone’s favorite. The huge sectional allowed all 6 of us space to chill out for a movie night! Absolutely recommend staying at this soul calming place on Lake Catherine! Just what we needed…..😍👏🙌

This lovely space is a gem! Folwell’s communication made check-in effortless; coffee and water provided was a nice touch. This is a beautifully restored space which felt like our own oasis in the heat of New Orleans. This location is a perfect home-base to explore on foot and we took advantage of the French Quarter, Bywater, and beyond. We hope to stay here again when in the area and strongly recommend others do the same!

An Amazingly Charming Stay in the Heart of New Orleans! This home perfectly captures the spirit of New Orleans. The exterior has that classic, historic charm I dream about when I think of the city, and the interior beautifully balances vintage character with modern comforts—those beds were incredibly comfortable! The original hardwood floors and thoughtful furnishings made it feel both cozy and stylish. Just a heads-up: this is a true New Orleans shotgun house, so the rooms flow one into the next with no hallways. It’s also a duplex with shared walls, so sound can carry—something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper. That said, the charm and location more than made up for it. We felt completely safe walking to and from the French Quarter (just a 15-minute walk), even late at night. The hosts were responsive, kind, and made everything easy. I would absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!

The place was beautifully furnished. Very spacious for a group of 7. All basic amenities were provided as listed. The only downside was that the area did not feel safe at all and it’s far from downtown. Street parking was tight and limited especially at night since other people parked there to go to nearby restaurants. Public transport is also extremely unreliable. The street car that’s “4 minutes away” never came. We looked online for the schedule (which was inaccurate) and even asked bus drivers but they didn’t even seem to know and suggested we take the bus instead. For this reason, I don’t think this is a convenient location. If you want to explore downtown I’d recommend finding a place downtown.

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was really nice for what it was worth. The only issue was, the outside doesn't look to appealing. It looks disheveled and on a semi-busy street. If you are in the front 2 rooms (living room and 1st bedroom) you can hear the cars whizzing by. The 2nd/3rd bedrooms you can't really hear. The stay overall was very accommodating. The host was very responsive, the beds/linens were nice, comfy and clean. The bathroom was a bit outdated, but it did it's job. If you're on a budget, I'd definitely consider this for other guests.

My husband and I had a really wonderful and memorable stay, thanks to Ian, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He went out of his way to make us feel at home, offering genuine hospitality and even took us out on our last night in New Orleans (during Jazz Fest), which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! The space itself is definitely more of a lived-in space; cozy but a little cluttered. That said, the unit is bigger than the photos lead on. There is a bonus sink/vanity right outside of the bathroom, that was certainly a plus for us when getting ready for the day/night. The location is ideal, walking distance to grocery stores, street cars, buses, and GREAT restaurants; at the same time the apt is remote and away from any street noise. We did run into an issue with the shower temperature and Ian fixed it right away. If you're someone who values a warm, local connection over a super polished space, this is your spot! Ian's hospitality is next to none!

The bnb was pristinely clean and beautiful! The back porch was a nice touch for our Sunday breakfast. Everyone felt safe, and slept very well. Safe neighborhood, and centrally located to many attractions. We’ll definitely utilize this bnb again for future visits.

Tia was a great host who has a very clean and well appointed house in a fantastic neighborhood. Very charming and very New Orleans. We loved our experience here and would come back to stay again.

Paradise. Big easy for sure. You should definitely choose this spot. I use AirBnB often and this was my best experience yet. Craig and the rest of the crew were always around to help but never too close. We had a wonderful vacation and attribute much of it to this cozy spot and helpful staff on Mandeville. This place is fantastic! Exactly what we were hoping for and more! CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL & A+ STAFF! We walked everywhere while here and felt right at home! The hot tub and pool were perfect at the end of each day. The weather got nasty but the courtyard and pool area were still wonderful!!Michael responds to messages ASAP and was super helpful! This was such a cute space within walking distance to the French quarter and Frenchmen street. The outdoor area was huge and had space to relax and hang with friends. Staff were kind and helpful. The pool was amazing after long days in the sun. Highly recommend!
