Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Arces

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

Very nice house even in winter! Lots of things available in the kitchen in particular but also boxes of tissues etc ... The decor, the atmosphere of the house and garden allow a zero stress stay

We spent a week with Thierry in May. Thierry responded very kindly and uncomplicated to the fact that our arrival was delayed more and more. He welcomed us very nicely and gave us many tips. You can see from the house that Thierry is a flea market fan, we thought that gives the house character, it is really unique. It is quiet, with a lot of nature around, the frogs croak their concert, and the nightingales sing at night. The large, slightly overgrown garden (we like it) was fenced in so that our dog could go in and out of the house as he pleased. The area is pleasantly less crowded with tourists, but there were still opportunities to do something. Small tip: do not stay in the caravan if you are taller than about 180 cm (we are a little shorter, so it worked out well). Many thanks to Thierry, we hope to come back!

The house is beautiful, the park is nice and the hosts are welcoming. Everything is together for a lovely stay at this place.

Pleasant host. Large house located in a quiet area with a beautiful terrace and a large plot containing toys for children (just like inside). We would have liked to stay longer to better enjoy the place. We'll most certainly be back for a longer period.

very nice stay at Corine's. Fanny on site is very responsive and makes efforts to improve the stay. The accommodation is perfectly equipped. The terrace is nice, the modern kitchen very well equipped. Look carefully because there is everything. a welcome booklet is very useful with also visiting tips. We had a great time at this rental, very well located in Royan: beaches, shops and city center within 15 minutes' walk, so we didn't use our vehicle during our stay. The rental was IMPECCABLE, very comfortable bedding, the interior whose decoration was very cozy and pleasantly decorated, was also impeccable and well-equipped, we did not lack anything. Our host Suzanne was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Suzanne for hosting us, we recommend your rental!

A second stay, which once again didn't disappoint. The light and the view are beautiful in all weather, the beach of Pontaillac is both beautiful and friendly. The apartment is through, the room is in the back, quiet.

Very comfortable home, located in a quiet neighborhood and very tastefully decorated. In good weather, it is really enjoyable on the terraces. We were very warmly received by Nathalie. We received very clear information about the area (sights, bike routes, etc.). We are very excited, both about the house and the hostess.

Beautiful house, very good bedding and very well maintained / easy to use (ground floor). The fenced and secure park (with playground) for children - ideal! Living room with wood stove, very pleasant in the evening and cocooning - a haven of peace. Very responsive host on the platform, beach recommendations and easy communication. In short, a great place.

The house is beautiful as well as the view from the garden and located in a lovely village with an excellent butcher, baker and a market once a week. Aurelie and Franck are very welcoming. They surprised us with a bottle of the local white whine that was delicious and were very accommodating. We had a great time in Breuillet which is a 15 min drive from the nearest beaches. Strongly recommend!

Beautiful place located a short walk from the beach of Plaisance! A great sandy beach to enjoy pleasant moments! We found in Romain's house and his companion everything we expected: the calm of a large garden under the pine trees, a house in which we knew right away that our stay would be great, the characteristic smells of the seaside...!!! Finally, Romain is very responsive, attentive, and will be good advice to tell you where to treat! Really a great week, we will come back without a problem!!! A very beautiful place in front of the sea. A very beautiful family home, tastefully decorated, welcoming and in a peaceful place. We walked a lot, in the center of Fouras, accessible on foot. You can go to the island of Aix by taking the boat on foot. The weather was nice. Good memories.

Very good stay in Jean-Luc's accommodation, well located in the village, we did everything on foot. The garden is lovely. A perfect accommodation to enjoy the sea in peace with family or friends!
