We spent 3 fantastic days at the cosy well thought out farm pod. It was idyllic. Wonderful that there was no WiFi & no tv. We really enjoyed watching & listening to farm animals & wildlife from within the pod & from its decking. It was great to not use our car for 2 days & instead to walk out from the pod through countryside to several beautiful sandy beaches. We enjoyed a refreshing swim in crystal clear sea at a beach that’s about 10mins walk from the pod. We also loved sitting on a small grassy hillock watching seals bathing on low lying rocks in a small cove only a short walk from the pod. Thanks for such a wonderful experience.

Great getaway from the hectic routine of city life , Philip and Celia are very helpful people and great hosts , really enjoyed my stay here . 10/10

A lovely cabin in a beautiful area. It was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and had everything that I required. Michelle was a lovely host.

Quite simply this is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed ❤️ The location was right on the seafront with a beautiful view overlooking the sea 🌊 the house was warm and comfortable and there was absolutely loads of space 🤗 It had all the essentials such as shower, kitchen, washing machine, cooker, and also a nice big tv and comfy sofa too 🤗 The hosts were absolutely lovely and really friendly as soon as I arrived 🤗 they gave me lots of recommendations on the local area and good spots to go running and it was very nice to chat in the garden with them 🤗 I didn’t really want to leave and definitely hope to return again one day 😝 Jamie 😋

A beautiful cottage in great surroundings. The area was easy to explore on foot and activities nearby were easily accessible. The cottage itself was equipped with all the basic needs.

Such a lovely little cottage, perfect to get away for a small family or couple, it is “wee” but the space is used so efficiently, it is so comfortable & cosy & homely. Such great value especially considering breakfast was included which you don’t come across on Airbnb much! Kevin was a great host, helpful & responsive. Nice location for coastal walks & ferries to the islands or going to Loch Lomond. Great place to bring the dogs. Beautiful views in a peaceful location. We went on a bank holiday & there weren’t many food options on the Sunday, something to be aware of as the town is quite small, but we found somewhere and it was lovely so all round very happy!

We loved this beautiful place, so peaceful and stunning. The dog was the real winner! I love how this beautiful place comes with a very special furry friend. We’ve traveled a lot but never had a wonderful experience like this one. Thank you Michael for letting us playing with your dog 🐶 We are missing him already!

This was a fantastic spot to stay! Walking distance to Bowmore, beautiful scenery, a short drive to all the distilleries, and a fantastic host. Jim went above and beyond for us while we were staying there. His taxi service was amazing, and he provided us with some very fun tidbits about the island. I wish I could give this experience 6 stars.

We stayed for one night during our road trip and had a lovely comfortable stay. Booked last minute and host were very accommodating. Woke up to glorious sunshine and views. Would definitely recommend.

Glenaros is a special place- everything works and fits in the space, although obviously the space is not huge. The view is great and there's wildlife all around.

A great find, such a peaceful setting, very quite road so no traffic noise, an excellent outdoor area with chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The Wee hoosie is very clean and very well presented. Very clear directions for arrival which we had no problems finding. Kitchen area well equip with everything we needed. Some informative books of Islay with a great sections of the history of Port Charlotte. You can walk to Port Charlotte to walk for drinks and meal at one of the hotels with a footpath all the way. Had a fantastic time in Portnehaven watching the Seals. It’s also a great location for the RSPB nature reserve and to visit all the distilleries, we didn’t quite make it to them all but enjoyed a lovely 30min walk down the pedestrian path to Bruichladdich distillery which also does Gin tasting too!!! 100% recommend; thanks to Catherine for been a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tigh na Struan, which was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. We're already missing the beautiful views! Alison and Calvin were very welcoming and helpful, providing lots of useful information about the area. Would definitely visit again : )

We absolutely loved our stay at the Drum! Absolutely stunning accommodation and surroundings, David was a fantastic host and we would love to come again!

All round amazing!! We stayed here for 2 nights and could have easily stayed many more. Everything was absolutely perfect in the cabin and had been carefully considered right down to the fine details. Anthony was lovely on arrival and showed us around the cabin and explained how to work the heating/hot tub/etc which made us feel very welcome. A long list of local restaurant recommends and things to do was provided via message from the host which was super helpful when getting to know the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and we are already thinking about when we can return to stay here again 😊

It’s perfectly located—close to all the main attractions like hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, and local shops—yet tucked away enough to offer peace, privacy, and a real sense of escape. The accommodation itself is immaculate, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The host goes above and beyond, providing thoughtful extra touches and amenities that make you feel genuinely at home—everything from fresh towels and toiletries to a well-equipped kitchen and cozy touches that made our stay feel extra special. Parking is easy and conveniently located nearby, which made coming and going stress-free. Whether you’re exploring the Highlands or just looking to relax in a serene setting, this is the perfect base. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and would absolutely stay again!

This was a great find! If you’re looking to escape and feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but still want glamping facilities - this is perfect! Very secluded but the bar restaurant near by was fantastic (we even got vegan pizzas on the Friday!), and there was a wee coffee shop that was well stocked and great coffee which was perfect in the morning. The fire pit is set up each night for you to sit by and the dog loved it!

This was a perfect place to pause and take in the quiet beauty of our trip. The cabin was very clean, adorable, the views were spectacular, and the laundry was much appreciated. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Sarah!!

Had the LOVELIEST stay at the Highland Hideaway! We only booked for one night and upon leaving said we would 100% come back. The scenery is incredible, tranquil and so peaceful. You can’t beat a beautiful Mountain View and that is exactly what this place offers! The cabin itself was tidy, super clean and just so cute inside! Also the provision of Pringles and biscuits along with tea and coffee was lovely to walk into! We really enjoyed the outdoor space especially the veranda part which is undercover so even when it rains you stay dry and can enjoy a lovely wood fire (wood is provided for a tiny cost, bring cash!). We sat outside for hours until it was dark! Also if you need anything/forgot anything, the town shop is only an 8 min drive away along with a post office, so is in a perfect and quiet location but not cut off from the world! Overall an amazing experience that we will never forget and we will definitely be returning to the Highland Hideaway! Thank you Elizabeth!

We had a great stay at Bluebell Cabin for my 50th birthday. Karen was great, so friendly and warm, just the perfect host. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with everything (and more!) than we needed. I especially loved the wood-fired hot tub, which really enhanced our stay. We’re very much looking forward to a return trip to Bluebell Cabin in the future!

We had a fantastic time there! The level of comfort is 11/10 ✨ The place is so beautiful, all the details! Vinyl set a nice mood! Birdwatching is incredible here, we made a wee woodpecker friend hahah so pretty! The super king-size bed is amazing! We were looking for a place to chill and relax, and it was just what we were looking for. Easy to get a taxi there from Ayr.. and you have anything you need in the room. The wood fire outside, watching the moon and hearing the stream flowing by! 🤍🤍 Adam and Katherine, Thank you for creating this place and sharing it with us! You made it very special.

Beautiful little place with a spectacular view. It was private, quiet, and had all the amenities that you need. Close to Glencoe and only 15 minutes from Fort William. We had a lovely stay. Would definitely return.

Dean gave excellent instructions to locate the cabin and it is exactly as per the photos. It is a fabulous location for visiting Sanna beach and the west end of the peninsula. I was blessed with wonderful sunshine for my visit but I’m sure it is just as beautiful in any weather. Remember to take everything you need for your stay with you - milk, fill your car up etc - it really is blissfully remote. If there weren’t so many other places to be seeing I would 100% stay here again and I would recommend it to friends.

An excellent place. Tranquil with a great view. The kind of place that matches the island. You make your own fire, but it's set up for you by Neil, so you don't have to be an expert. The bed is spacious, comfortable and clean as is everything else. The shower block is also spotless and the shower powerful. I hope to come back for longer.
