Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Armamar

The place was basic and clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. I was shown around before handed the keys. Parking is free around the apartment but tight so be careful with hire cars (mine was scratched). It's about a 10min walk into the town area, there is a great family run restaurant to the right of the apartment and a few bars nearby. The nearest big supermarket is about 3mins drive away.

Great place to stay, perfect for a longer stay. The ease and flexibility of the check-in and check-out are a positive point to point out.

Flawless stay, very well located apartment, close to the São Pedro do Sul hot springs. Very well-equipped apartment, great for spending a few days away from large urban centers. Very attentive and friendly host, explained the entire check-in process using video and even referred us to a restaurant and places to visit during our stay. Definitely an experience to be repeated.

Manuel is a terrific host and gave us very good tips, the place is in city center, all commodities nearby, there’s a parking lot 5 min away - thank you Manuel!

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

The place was better than expected. Joao and Susana make sure you feel at home, weither it is in communication or in the well equipped house with attention to detail. (In real everything was more beatiful than in the pictures). The farm is situated in between small hills, far from city busyness into a calm oases. We recommend taking a walk up the hill behind the house untill the top, it's an easy walk with an amazing view. You need a car to get there, for dinner you would have to drive 15-30 minutes (or ofcourse cook at home). Google often says a place is open, but often it is not :) Susana can give you the right places. There were cats walking around which was a big plus for us. They show you the way around a bit and they ofcourse like the attention. Unfortunately for us the weather was too cold for a good swim, but the pool is quite big and we would love to return to try it for a little bit longer ;)! We were surprised by this place in a good way, it's another beautiful part of Portugal and staying at Joao and Susanas place, makes it perfect.

Susana’s place is an idyllic countryside retreat that is full of Portuguese tradition and authenticity. Susana can’t do enough for her guests, including sharing local produce from her garden. The villa is very well equipped and spacious, and the gardens and pool area are immaculate. There is access to the highlights of the Douro valley close by. We had a wonderful, relaxing break here and would fully recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Vila Poucha. The location was amazing close to Regua but away from the hustle and bustle. You do really need a car to make the most of this location, we walked up the hillside to the Quinta de Barca vineyard (2km hilly walk) we also got the train from Caldas do Moledo a couple of times (35 minutes walk along a busy road). We were looking for a quite relaxed place where we could cook meals and enjoy time together and we got it! The Quinta is massive very comfortably would sleep 4 or 5 people. There was a large dining room that we didn't even use, most eating outside or in the kitchen. We helped ourselves to fresh limes and pomegranates, and bought and drank the lovely wines left for guests. We couldn't find a BBQ or Kettle, so bought them and left for future guests. Our only improvement would be some additional garden furniture, the terrace and balcony are real sun traps and I struggled to get comfortable. We'd love to stay again!

Adriana is a fantastic host, simple but very comfortable house, well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to be used. The only least positive point (not for me), away from any commercial space.

Euripedes and his wife are kind and generous people. On arriving, Euripides was there to welcome us and gave us two bottles of wine as a welcome gift. He gave me so much time as I expressed an interest in learning Portuguese. Everyday, he would encourage me to talk in Portuguese. His wife also is very kind. Really kind and friendly.

Carmo was a fantastic host! She was very welcoming making us feel right at home. Her place is peaceful with beautiful views all around. It was nice being able to cook while on holiday. Transportation was a bit challenging but was able to secure a taxi contact who was very responsive and delivered excellent service. I would definitely stay at Carmo’s house again.

Was spacious, I actually ended up liking the location. About 25mins to the river. Authentic setting, cute little town. Along with shared but spacious gravel parking. AC works. Quiet location. Recommend i think for a few days in the area in general. Set back with one other accommodation feels private enough. Should have everything needed. Bed okay. Wifi ok. I think overall ok.

Absolutely beautiful place and location! Highly recommend.
